    Education comes in different flavors, and these install videos are fantastic! I just purchased a new WRX, and these videos are literally the most important decision-making factor in whether I buy parts from IIR or somewhere else. Bravo to all involved in the production of these videos. Please keep them coming. P.S. Do you have a front spoiler lip in a matte finish? Everything I see is gloss black.

    The Aluminati mount comes with a spacer plate you’re meant to use on the WRX. It’s also thicker to fit it.

    Very helpful video. Thank you. Thats exactly what I hated about my 2015 wrx. I put the gruppe n mount and the bushings around it, but the way the transmission moved I could feel it through the shift lever every time I released the clutch, that never went away even after those upgrades. Is it like that on this one or that is better now? Can you explain in some detail?

    I've ordered a new mount and the bushings and hopefully next week I'll get some garage and lift time to make the swap. Bought my WRX last week and overall am extremely pleased, however first gear is very herky-jerky. Three through six are like butter, second sometimes is great, sometimes you get a jolt. But that first, oh man it needs work. I hope this helps.

    Great video! I assume since the transmission is the same one from the VA chassis, things like the shifter plate, brass bushing, and short shifter kits can carry over just fine correct?

      We think so but I have yet to test them. We will be working on those shortly!

    will this help eliminate the jerkiness of deceleration? Ive noticed it bounces up and down maybe a couple hundred rpms when deceling in say 2nd

    Nice!! Do you think the pitch stop upgrades fit too from VA? In the VA chassis tranny mount + pitch stop made a huge difference.

    i got this with the white line bushings. that is the group n one on the 15-21 wrx.

      The two shown in the video that looked the same were the factory mount for the 2022 wrx and the group N STI and 14- WRX. The taller one shown was the Group N mount for the 15-21.

    So its the MOUNT that causes that bounce? Wow, learned something new. Thanks for the great video! I have to say, 4 time owner 13/15/20/22 I disagree, the shifting feels better than it ever did…not revolutionary, its always evolutionary with Subaru , but its noticeable…IMO.

      Same, I have the '18 anniversary edition and the shift bounce is one thing that's always bothered me. I may have to look into this.

    I just purchased the group N trans mount off you guys and received it yesterday. I was going to install and am curious if you have the torque specs for the subframe and trans mount?

    Am I wrong but more rigidity at transmission will translate harder forces back up somewhere else. …oem may be designed that way for flex.

      It'll be more rough on the transmission, but as long as you're not slamming it constantly it shouldn't do any damage

    Does anyone know if the torque solution positive shift kit wrx for the 21 fits the 22?

    I bolted it with an inpact just like you did, should I be worried about the bolts cominhg loose later? Should I torque them?

      I wouldn’t be worried… but at the end of the day, you’re responsible for your own install. How do you feel it went?

    Is the transmission truly the exact same transmission from before, or really close? I'm just curious because without there being a sti transmission to swap into it, I wonder what you can do besides basically building the trans and then welding the halves together or something. The motor might be able to hold 400whp np, but what's the point if your transmission can't?

      We don't know 100% for sure because no one has confirmed it yet but it appears to be the exact same transmission.

    Does changing the transmission support voids the warranty?

      With the group n mount being a subaru manufactured part, it will not void the warranty

      When I bought my WRX last week I was told the only way the warranty would be voided is if the changes themselves were found to have caused the problem. I don't see any way this swap could cause an issue as it's just a better version of the same part.

      Magnuson-Moss Act. In the old days car companies could void your warranty for anything they wanted-something like a Hurst T handle shifter could be said to of caused transmission damage, since you could shift faster. The law allows for use of any oils and parts that meet manufacturers specs as well as work can be performed by any certified mechanic of your choosing. They have to prove the mod was directly responsible the damage. It's gets into tricky territory when something like the transmission goes; did the tune incresee the boost level in each gear, causing it to break under stress, or did you just get a lemon transmission?

    so IIR is going to stay on the 20s...such a shame. Not enough tire for me; going down to 19s seems like the better way to go. I guess Subaru was tired of the shifter fork issue in the VA WRX and decided to use the STI case in the 22 WRX since the 22 WRX has more (potential) power. So, stronger trans case (and internals) in the new WRX; good to know.

      Well, It's only been a week since we Installed the 20's. As noted before we plan to test out quite a few wheels on this car. And you must have missed our other video. This car still has the same split case wrx transmission as always. They just converted back to the older style mount from the sub 14 wrx that they used on the 15-21 sti.

      Yes, the group N mount also works with 2022-24 WRX models!

      yes. listen again when he is doing the thumb pushing. They use the OE STI mount in the the '22 WRX (seems like Subaru put the 15-21 STI trans case in the 22 WRX)

      @@K03sport the question was if the stock sti mount is the same as a group n . And it may be an upgrade for a sti. Also the 22 wrx definitely does not have the same trans case as a sti but they do share the same mount.

      I know this video is 10 months old but I just finished installing the Group N mount and a test drive. The difference is almost dramatic with absolutely no added NVH. A truly great mod, no more jerking over bumps and even the shifts are more solid. The car somehow feels lighter.
