Oh Olena I have so many feelings about your Easter this year. To think how last year you were in the bomb shelter and the kids were doing their tradition of knocking the eggs together…..under those circumstances. And now they were able to celebrate in safety and security that they so greatly deserve. Even if they weren’t able to be in your own country, the smiles on their faces says it all. Happy Easter. So glad you go to go to the Ukrainian Church. I have gone to festivals there and have always had a good time. Sorry I did not make it to the Mall yesterday. Hope you were able to meet others. Not sure how much longer you are going to be in the area, but you might want to go see the bluebells in northern Va at Bull Run Park. They are beautiful. One word of caution for your family, there is a shooting range at the park so the sound of gunfire can be heard on the trial...would not want to traumatize anyone in your family so just be aware. Another fun spot is about an hour or so away in MD......Flag Pond Beach where you can go look for shark's teeth...something that might be up your kids alley. Anyway, have fun the remainder of your time here in DC.

C'est beau de vous voir heureux comme sa .Je suis conscient que vous devez avoir hâte de retourner a la maison, sa va arriver un jour. Sa ne peux pas rester comme ça pendant longtemps. De vous voir en sécurité et de voir les enfants s'amuser après ce que j'ai vue pendant que vous étiez en Ukraine. Je ne vous connais pas personnellement mais sa me donne les larmes aux yeux. Joyeuses Pâques Olena et monsieur va bien. Monsieur va bien et un héros. Je vais dire la vérité j'ai prier a chaque jour pour qu'il revienne en vie sans avoir été blessé physiquement mais j'espère que mentalement il va bien. Sa pas dû être facile pour lui aussi. Rester positif et surtout ne te fait pas de reproche Olena, tu a pris la bonne décision. Une dernière chose à dire, le monde entier vous aimes pour toujours et moi aussi. People are celebrating Easter all over the world even in places of war
This is the most holy day of the year and we should never let evil prevent us from celebrating hope and love. Try not to pass judgment unless you have walked in someone else's shoes.
