Life saver thank you so much after paying for all my window boards to be fitted upstairs, I found your video and fitted some downstairs myself worked perfectly very simple I was surprised 😃
Can I ask if the board needs to be fitted on a slight angle running forward?? My son is on site learning at moment.. and the site manager has made him refit it as it was level.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post. I’m doing my own window sills at home but I’m struggling to find a router but for the bullnose. You couldn’t help point me in the right direction please?
I’ve just had a new window board fitted to a bay window. It’s not level, runs out by 9mm so the vertical blinds are catching the board at one end. Mentioned this to the joiner who said there’s nothing he can do about it now
In an ideal world these go on before
Plasterboard . Nice video

I definitely install before drywall.
Thanks for that
How do you cut the window board for a box bay window, do I need a jig of are they mitred?
Are your walls drywall or mdf?
Are you not using any cavity closers? Isn’t the moisture from between the walls going to get through the MDF board?
Didn't you see the black damp proof membrane?
Nice to see a tradesperson doing things the right way and with some care.
Nice video but I personally prefer to fix the board with brackets or foam.
Dont have the risk of screw holes showing through the painted finish then.
NOOICE!

Hi, what did you screw the board to, is it brick underneath? Good video
Yes...
Can't see any insulation in that cavity🤣🤣🤣
pretty sure you'd fail NVQ if you have no dust extraction or safety..mdf is nasty stuff. otherwise good stuff
Another asbestos timebomb...
why are you using mdf for window sills, bad idea. hopefully it doesn't get moisture or wet
Told by an Agent that most solid plastic internal cillboard is MDF coated in plastic
🤮🤮
Why on earth would you screw through the face of it ? Foam it down
Ugly screw holes showing 😱
@@paulgould7420 exactly
And weight it down...
@@paulgould7420 it obviously would get filled and painted
I would rather fills a few holes in mdf than have the board lift off.
Good video but horrible music.
Annoying music
no need for music !
Without screws . Why bother with filling the holes , and repainting etc waste my time .
