I'm guessing that that's one of the drawbacks of it not wholly being mainstream of science supported (even though it is a real thing).

Usually only one side of a stethoscope is active at a time, and you can twist the little bottom section to change which side you can hear through and which side is silent. He was probably tapping on the side that was inactive at the time.

I rarely have tingles to be honest... Well I do, but not everytime and I usually have to "force it" by making me shiver... But I do relax at ASMR, and I got a sensation in my brain, like it's very smooth or wrapping in fluffy things. Dunno if it's tingles but it's kinda cool. * shrug *

It's interesting that a lot of the ideas of ASMR are supported by science, but ASMR itself hasn't been recognized. For example: mirror neurons.
