- IN THIS VIDEO I PUT THE ECOFLOW WAVE 2 TO THE TEST IN CLOSE TO 100 DEGREE WEATHER AND SEE HOW WELL IT PERFORMS RUNNING ON BATTERY. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS AND I WILL BE TAKING IT EVERY TIME I GO OUT JUST TO HAVE THAT EXTRA COMFORT WHEN I GO CAMPING.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the great information.
@@ohnodevo thank you 🙏. I am glad I was able to help.
Good video Jay! That unit is awesome because you get heat and AC. That’s a great addition.
Thank you Omar. It definitely is great to have and I highly recommend it.
Guys just to make you aware....heating only works down to 40°. To me that kinda.makes it almost worthless as a heater.
@@joancordero3104 I was honestly tossing the idea around of buying one of these, now that I know this I'm not getting one. I think where they're going with this unit is brilliant but I definitely think it needs some updates.
Setup Looking good Jay 👌
Thank you brother
Need this for sure..
Great content bro keep going
Thanks brother 🙏
Great vid! I'm hoping they make a version that is for permanent built in...without the bulky-fancy external shell and optimized for a trailer camper...
Thank you 🙏. I agree. That would be great and I think it’s eventually coming. As technology gets better they keep coming up with more convenient ways to get out so it’s only a matter of time🙂.
I have the same set up as you. Your hoses are to close together when the unit is in the tent. The intake will suck in the hot air from the exhaust. I run my exhaust through the roof vent of the 2.5. I purchased a insulated cover as well to shield the tent from the heat generated. I also use a Delta Pro to power mine. One thing thing to be careful about having the unit inside is the condensate line accidentally popping off in the middle of the night. Don't ask me how I know. I also live in Virginia. In humid conditions the unit will still need to drain.
Thank you 🙏 for the info. Yea, I’ve learned a bit since the video was recorded and actually just got back from a trip where I set it up a bit different and it literally almost froze me out of the tent…😂🤣😅. I will have to try the roof vent for the exhaust. That’s sounds like a good idea. The drain hose did pop out on me but after I was taking everything down so I did learn that lesson fast …lol
To manually turn on the drain function, just do a long press of the far right button from the row of 4 buttons, to turn it on and off instead of using the app to turn on thr drain function.
Pro tip... you can only use the evaporation function when plugged in and using A/C power only otherwise you risk overflowing the internal reservoir. Using the drain function and hose is the best option and avoids condensate spillage from the internal reservoir.
Super great information. Thank you 🙏
You gonna need like 2 of those in this VA heat 😂
Lol…..😂🤣😅.
Here to help the algorithm.
Could I just keep the unit in the bed if the truck and run the hose up to my GFC Caller tent?
Yes….i do that all the time as well.
I got the same unit. It is not 70.9 degrees in that tent. The air being blown out is that temperature.
I'm thinking if your tent is extremely hot, because it is closed up and that sun is baking your tent, option 1, putting it outside would be best to at least start. You get cooler air to cool down than that hot air that is in the tent already.
Than, maybe later, bring it in so that it sucks in the cooler air you already have to cool down more efficiently.
Sounds good. I’ll have to try it that way. Thank you 🙏
If you keep it inside without the dual hose it will create a vacuum and still pull in the outside air through any gaps
@@zgomez68 . Yea, I definitely had it with both hoses on in this video but after using it a bit now after I filmed this I like it best with it outside and only one hose coming in. It still works great and I have more room to move around.
If yo just exhaust the hot air it will pull in cooler, internal air. Consider it as recirculation mode. It's more efficient and won't bring in air from outside.
Roofnest and other brands have ports to run the AC or heater hose
…..yea….after this video I researched and found a couple…😂😅
I was really bummed. I live here in Michigan. Wanted it for hunting fishing boat RV come to find out it won’t work below 40° most of us here in Michigan don’t wear coats at 50 useless.
Wow….i didn’t know. Hopefully they can come up with something that would work better up there. I’m sure there’s probably one that we’re not familiar with.
I think it runs under 40 in Eco-mode.
Does it work better with the unit inside or outside and running the hose inside??
Good question and funny thing is I literally just tested that and the answer is inside because it recirculates the air inside. When outside it only blows the air that is outside at its current temp.
I live in Vegas. That ecoflow wave 2 does not work. Had to return it.
@@asianfish1 sorry to here. Here in VA it works great but to help in extreme heat I try to camp in more shaded areas so that the AC doesn’t struggle.
You want a hole for those hoses then do it yourself. How hard could it be? Think about it and then do it. Nice video. Thanks.
I might give it a shot…lol. I thought it would be nice for some companies to add it. Thanks for the comment. 🙏
I wonder if you could buy a split so you can cool or heat up a couple of tents
I don’t know why not. I would love to try that myself
its doable ...u can buy a Y coupler and 2 extra hoses
How long does it run for on one battery charge?
I believe it’s about 6 hours on high, 8 on medium and 10 on low. If you keep it on Eco you should get over 12. Keep in mind that these numbers would be on constant run. I only turn mine on when it’s time for bed so mine will last a 3 night trip on eco
What type of bed rack do you have?
It’s a leitner rack system. I also did a video on this rack.
