    That tip about not asking the users "Why?" literally, is such UX research GOLD. I conducted a few interviews and realized that it was something that I REALLY enjoy. Making note of this & looking forward to more if you have them! 💪🏾

    I’ve been a UX Designer at my current company for the past 1.5 years (started as their first-ever UX Designer, and it was my first-ever job in the industry). When I tell you alll of the moments & thoughts you shared in this video (both the good + bad) were SO relatable & reassuring 😆😅
    Especially since I feel like I never got to learn the “correct” way to do my work from a Senior UXer first. So it’s helpful to know that other designers’ day-to-days & challenges are so similar to mine!

    Hi Mimi, I've been watching your videos for over a year now with the hopes of entering the UX world.
    I'm a junior Graphic Design major and landed a UX Design internship that pays really well :') I've been here for almost a month and can't believe my dreams have transpired so quickly. I wanna say thank you for the informative videos you've been putting out, your videos introduced me into UX and given me a lot of insight into what it's like being a UX designer in a realistic way. :D

    Hi Mimi! Are there work opportunities for those who can work remotely and freelance/contract/project basis UI/UX Designer? Or companies would always prefer fulltime and onsite? Would want to hear your thoughts as you have been in the field UI/UX field for years. :)

    Hi Mimi! I've been loving your video so much since I am looking more into UX design lately and I'm thinking about taking a full course and directing my career towards that path :D (I studied Transmedia communications and so got taught some UX/UI and development)
    I have a quick question I hope you could answer, I saw a course called UX developer which goes more in-depth into web development. From what I've read it's like the middle man or translator between the design and development team, but I haven't seen so many jobs with kind of those requirements or descriptions.
    Is it a real role that companies are actually using nowadays? Do you think it is worth it for a UX designer to specialize in web development?
    Thank you so much for the videos and for sharing your experience!

    Hey Mimi, love your tips on how to get unstuck by compiling your designs and questions to visualize it together. Great reminder to keep asking questions. Also, I'm done with Starbucks haha, didn't know Northpark had so many cool cafes to work at!

    Don't decide on a solution...TEST a solution.
    You don't know what the users response will be to what is put in front of them (regarding your 3-4 options). As a Principal UX myself, I always go with one option, even if it may not be the strongest, or it may not feel right, users will put you on the right path. If you can avoid it, never let any one individual in your team, including yourself decide on the best approach, come to a group agreement (UX,PM,DEV) as a team around the best ASSUMPTION we can make that we can validate with customers. A-B is another path you could take. Its better to do three rounds of iterative user testing with prototypes to find a solution than to guess.

    Hi Mimi, I always love your videos and thank you so much for being you and always making my day with your upload.
    I wanted to ask, do you think a low paying internship is worth taking after bootcamp than a full time job?? If I am currently in the middle of an interview for a full time job but got an offer for a internship should i just take it??

    • @mimimichi
      @mimimichi  Рік тому +1

      Hmm, I don't know the full story so I can't give my confident advice, but I can tell you what I did. I took an offer with an unpaid internship only because they told me it could ultimately lead to a full time role. I was willing sacrifice finances for a bit if it meant I could work hard enough to get a full time role eventually. Hope that helps shed some insight!
