Distress with Black Stain

There are so many ways to distress. Sanding, dry brushing, but using black stain is my absolute favorite!!! I use the minwax brand. The rustoleum brand doesn’t spread as easily. I start off by sanding the edges of a painted board. Then i use a mismatched sock. Dryer no doubt ate it’s soul mate. I promise i never pull one out of my husbands drawer. Snicker. Focus the majority of the stain on edges and cracks. Use the dry part of the sock or rag to blend. If you have too much in one spot paint over it. Enjoy! #happycrafting

Love your videos! Could you put a picture on this after it was painted? If so, Would you use the same technique as your other videos for applying the picture?

Sandra Dannelley absolutely. Yes. You can apply the picture to this the same way you would in the other videos.

Cindy Smith yes. It’s a white painted board but can be any color.
