I did the same trip almost 3 years ago (January 2019), but from Sapporo to Hakodate, also I took the 6am train. Besides how trains works perfectly in Japan, travel trough Hokkaido during winter it’s a whole new thing. Waking around Sapporo, Otarubin the middle of the storm, the views from Goryukaku. Unforgettable Greetings from Chile
Your channel is my way of manifesting my life, I'll go there and I'll experience this in real life eventually, but for now I'll experience this thru your camera, thank you 🙏
I love getting stoned and watching your videos! They’re very relaxing. I’ve also been traveling to japan for around 20 years and it’s these types of scenery as to why I always come back. Happy holidays!
That looked so quiet and peaceful. My favorite time to do any traveling is early morning, no matter the season, and you caught the winter sunrise ou the window so well. Thanks or posting this, and I hope you were able to stay somewhere in Sapporo where it's warm inside.
i like this limited express service as the views are very scenic, since the shinkansen is faster you really can't enjoy it. not sure if a third sector railway will take over the line after the extension is completed, hope they retain some services. i am also fond of this diesel train, you can hear it changing gears(?) not sure if it does lol
I visited Hokkaido twice on business (Otaru and Muroran) and quite enjoyed it both times. I grew up in Massachusetts, so the snowy climate was fairly familiar, even comforting, for someone a long way from home.
Oh my. So picturesque, so breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing a journey I hope to make in a couple of years. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New year from New Zealand
Just watching Joey the Anime Man's video and he was in Sapporo and Toya last month. I went to the snow festival in 2017, I ridden this line between Chitose Airport and Sapporo.
So that's how falling snow looks like... And that is how falling snow looks like when riding from a train. Pardon me, I'm from the tropics, all we get is cold weather but no snow, heheheh. Thanks for the video!
That's beautiful, I have heard that the northern island of Hokkaido is a place to visit four times in a year. Once each season too see and feel all the unique events and places. Your videos are incredible keep up the excellent reports!!!
Very pretty. A couple things I noticed about Japanese farmland is I never ever see livestock out in the pastures and I watch a lot of Japanese travel channels.. In the US, you will always see horses, sheep ect. I do however see a lot cemeteries by the train tracks with nothing else around them.
In Hokkaido, JR does not start trains until 06 00 , compared to 04 30 the Tokyo area, 04 45 in Osaka, 05 00 in Nagoya, and 05 00 in Kyushu. Because ridership is low and the winters are harsh.
It look like a very peaceful ride and the scenery was beautiful with the snow of course. But I bet it was cold as icicles outside. Thanks for the video keep up the good work
So pretty! I'm sitting here in sunny Arizona, USA. The closest train is over an hour away, and only goes east/west. I'm very sad that we are too rural to have people trains here, although there are lots of trains full of cargo. We are so connected to our cars, trains don't stand a chance of a comeback, except in maybe in the Phoenix metro area.
Kuga, is that an electric or diesel train, it sounded like a diesel... Beautiful train and the scenery awesome, Lovely snow scenery it looks magical.. Really enjoyed the ride.. 😁👍
@@kkf54353 Do we ? Maybe on the east coast there's the Amtrak Acela. But nothing remotely like this (that I'm aware of) here in Utah or the Pacific northwest.
@@jacksonheathen2092 This is a standard express train service, not high speed rail service. This route would be completed under 1 hour under a Shinkansen service instead of the current 3 hr run time. The equivalent of this in Pacific Northwest would be Amtrak Cascades.
@@kkf54353 Right. I used to live in Portland and saw the Amtrak Cascades going over the bridge into the station sometimes. I never rode it. But I thought it was limited to a mere 79 mph. There's a trian here in northern Utah called the Front Runner I ride sometimes. It's one of those double decker commuter trains that also goes up to 79 mph. But the train in this video appeared much faster. Maybe that's because the video footage is speed up, or maybe I'm just wrong. 😁
@@jacksonheathen2092 The maximum operation speed for Hokuto express goes only up to 120 km (75 mi) per hour, which is one third of the Shinkansen speed.

Oh nice. I did not realize how fast the train was going until it went by the freight train. The snow is great. Does Japan still use the Olympic winter site these days? So beautiful in the snow; I hope you are wearing winter shoes! Thanks Kuga!
Beautiful journey, Kuga. The scernery was stunning. I sure hope you didn't have to walk too far once you arrived in Sapporo! Have a Merry Christmas, and a Fantastic New Year!🎄☃️
I love your videos, especially travelling in snow and/or winter. I am wondering, however, when you show the train speed on your phone is that due to an app? Merry Christmas and continued safe travels, my friend.
The pre-dawn/daybreak landscape is lovely to see. Thanks for taking us along 🙏
Everywhere is white and then you look up and see the blu sky, a wounderful landscape
Snow’s so gorgeous as this whole ride
Beautiful ❤️ for several moments there, it could have been anywhere in the world. It looked so familiar, and yet so magical.
Exactly, it looked like m local landscape (Central Europe). Very relaxing.
I miss japan ❤️❤️🇯🇵🇯🇵

Hokkaido is the part of Japan I most want to see. Thank you for this video!

Another pleasurable and interesting ride. Thanks.
Beautiful! Soon the Shinkansen will reach Sapporo. Looking forward to riding it all the way from Tokyo. :)

I took the same train from Chitose to Hakodate back in 2019, it was amazing but long ride!
I like this country so much
Great trip, one thing in my mind about Sapporo is Sapporo Dome.

This just really take me back to when I was in Sapporo in 2019 and on the same snowy train rides. Love it forever! ❤️

Lovely Winter landscape journey, Kuga-san ❤️❄️! The kind that makes you happy to have someone to hold close, on your journey through it ❤️ …
Wow! We don't have any snow at all in Chicago!

Sapporo is beautiful!
Kuga-san Merry Christmas from USA
Thanks for the trip! Good Luck!
Thank you Kuga, very cool!
Arigato. Beautiful scenery.
I really get the mood of this one. It reminds me of the Bothnia Line in Sweden.
Wooo new video!
Another wonderful train ride.
Very prettty. I usually prefer to look at snow rather than walk around in it, though!

Wery snowy.❄️❄️🌨️🌨️
Reminds me of taking the Amtrak Empire Builder through northern Minnesota and North Dakota in the winter
Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing
Another great day to travel, thanks for the ride

Yes. A very relaxing ride...
Love it, you see the snow coming, I would've mind if you filmed more of the snow in Sapporo, loved that😊😍
Lovely! Thank you!
lovely view
America really needs trains like this.

It finally snowed in NE U.S. today 2022.01.07!
7:25 it's a sudden weather change, wow
I did this journey its a fabulous ride
I don’t think I have seen this much snow before
That brief moment when two bullet trains pass one another!
This reminds me of train to Busan.
Isn't that the name of a terrifying horror movie?
Good video! keep up the good work

Nice video
Amazing. When do you come here in Italy?
That wall of clouds over the water was pretty cool. Nice sunrise, too.
Odori park must have looked quite different with all the snow :D
Done.

Are you visiting family for the holidays in Sapporo?
