A Pot of Baby Bunnies Nursing

Mama Bunny made her nest in our garden pot. For a long time I didn't see her or any movement in the nest, and I thought she'd abandoned it. Then one day, our dog was barking at the window. This is what we saw. (Forgive the haziness. Doggie nose prints on the window.)

Nope. They went off to find their own territories. They may have remained in the neighborhood and hopped through the yard sometimes. We do get a lot of this same kind of brown bunny, but I have no way of knowing if any of them were these babies.
The pot was never used for a bunny brood again, but we'll never forget this batch. :)
