Man you have the cleanest Colecovision I’ve ever seen. Love your videos especially the ones on CV, good stuff! I bought a super game module and looking forward to getting some games for it.
It's Only Rock and Roll looks and sounds familiar. I think I played a port of it (or perhaps a clone of it) on an Apple II+ back in 7th grade. I had a school elective labelled "Computers", but it ended up mostly being a typing class, that if you finished your assignments on time, there was a small selection of semi-educational games that we were allowed to play. (Note that these Apple II's were already getting pretty dated, as Apple's newest computers Macintosh Performas and Quadras with the 68040 processor. For PCs, it was the 486's that were the newest thing.)
very cool . just like the pem for vectrex.. i just dont remember that for coleco for some reason... .. .. amazing how much the games have valued over the years. i was born 71 so i hit the golden years prime age.. been collecting since 79... im glad there are still people that make homebrew games for coleco that never made it to the system but are now available.. enjoyed the video
I had no idea it existed until I ran across one, and I grew up on ColecoVision too! Definitely lucky to have such a great homebrew scene with this system. It'll always be beloved. Thanks for watching!
Regardless of what price charting might say (I haven’t checked) Wizard of Id Math is one of the rarest and most expensive games. It brought $2000 (boxed) several years back.
You’re absolutely right! It is one of just a handful of games I have yet to get to finish my entire collection, and thus, NOT not on the “top 3 video games I own” list.
Actually was able to get my hands on the ColecoVision flashback and being very disappointed that my two favorite games weren't on there of course hero being one of them I don't know why but I love that game and then the one that makes no sense is the fact that they didn't have Donkey Kong on there which was actually the release game with the system so why it wasn't there I don't know.
I had 2 systems but sold 1 but I have some weird games, Dukes of Hazzard? 2 or 3 of those I have and some War Games clone..... now I have to see what I all have...... War Room, smurf's, Miner 2049er, ECT.Maybe these don't count? Oh, maybe these don't count because they say for the ADAM also. I have a huge box of games I bought over the years and the steering wheel and super action controllers and the ATARI GAME PLAYER.
Don’t collect em but got my sisters old system. Have mr do, donkey kong, Popeye, the band management game featured and a shooter that is not the game mentioned here
You would really have to have a strong desire to pay $1000 for the super sketch. I have bought 4 full size arcade games and have less than 1000 invested in each. Tho my donkey kong is close after having the monitor rejuved & recapped. Cool video tho. Luv old-school video games.
That's collecting for you. You have to ask yourself all the time 'How much do you really want it?' Colecovision was such a huge influence in my childhood that I really wanted to have it. However, paying over $1000 for it now would be a really tough pill to swallow. And I would LOVE to have a real arcade version of Donkey Kong in my house. That's classic! Good on you.
@@TheLaymanVideoGamer there are deals out there. Just have 2 be persistent. And patient. I found my DK cab for $800 on FB. I had to stick about $150 into it with monitor work. New cam locks and new marquee lite. Got about $450 into my mat mania cabinet. Got a converted frogger cab on offer-up for $200. Used it for mat mania. Fun hobby.
It's a very cool thing these rare items. They're only worth what someone will pay. Take all three to a pawn shop for example. You'll be lucky to get an offer of 30 to $40 a piece for them. So you might get a hundred or $200 for all three maybe even though all three together are worth almost $1,000. Then they'll offer you only a hundred and they'll say cash money now cash cash. Just seeing what everybody knows is the truth
Price and demand is the name of the game for sure. 100% agree! Personally I would never sell my games because I love the nostalgia, but if I were to sell (theoretically), I definitely wouldn't sell to a pawn shop.
I don't know about this list.. These are most definitely _not_ the "most rare ColecoVision games".. Too many people take price charting as the bible. Stick to AtariAge.. You'll find more accurate info there. Super Sketch is super rare, but it's not really a game and is more of a a peripheral. Sector Alpha is pretty rare, so I suppose I would agree with that one, but Wiz Math - that _definitely_ should've been on the list, for sure. Tournament Tennis by Imagic is extremely rare. There's much rarer Xonox games too, by far.
It’s pretty clear I say these are the most expensive games that I OWN. Price charting is of course just a reference tool to compare all the games in this video but it’s pretty accurate especially if you’re buying online. Super Sketch is a game just as much as wiz math is. It just comes with a peripheral. Just like I wouldn’t discount any game that requires the super action controllers. I’ll do another video down the road, though, when I pick up the final 3 games I have yet to get (wiz math being one of them)

It’s funny you say that because it reminds me of a lot of games I played back in the day too. I still get a kick out of these types of games 👍🏻

I'm guessing they just couldn't use DK for licensing reasons (Nintendo), but HERO is a classic for sure. Should have been on there.
Ouch don't even want to think how much just the Colecovision section of my collection is worth!
I only new one person when I was growing up in the 80s that even had the system he had like 20 games my fav was the racing
There were a few racing games, but I'm assuming you mean TURBO since it was ultra popular at the time. AND it was amazing on Colecovision
I have a loose copy of Donkey Kong. I’m off to pricecharting to see what it’s worth.

I love Dukes of Hazzard. Underrated game. 👍🏻

Those are all solid games to have 👍
Hey, are you still looking for aircars?
I am! It's literally the only game I have left to get to complete my Atari Jaguar collection.
@@TheLaymanVideoGamer I've got it sealed 😀 if your interested.
@@Namudi2 how much are you selling it for?
Tapper was a great game
Still one of my favorites today!
watching as ive just repaired 2 coleco visions and some games :)
Well I appreciate it! It’s definitely an expensive system to collect for.
@@TheLaymanVideoGamer yeah ive nearly got all consoles but the neogeo mvs is really the only games i collect. pop o er and say hi bud @pj retro redux

C'mon, is Galaxy your REAL last name???
So the most expensive game for the system today isn’t even a game. That’s hilarious.
It's just rare to find one in really good condition. But I agree.

Cool but there is a fool for stuff that's boring.🙄
it's only boring if you have no interest in it. Nostalgia is a real and powerful thing.
