This trip to the remote cabin is by far one of my most favorite days so far in ALASKA! Riding the rivers in the boat with Joe, the sun shining on our faces, the fresh breeze & complete silence & serenity out at the remote cabin was nothing short of amazing! Can't wait to go back again. I was afraid of the river after the incident last time we tried to go out but today I overcame that fear & I'm so glad I did!
The A frame cabin addition on our main cabin is coming along nicely & super fast. We'll definitely have it completed before winter! It's going to give us much needed space for food storage so NEXT year we can start growing fresh veggies & preserving food for the homestead again! Thanks for joining us for another video...cheers!

What a fantastic video. The pure joy of Kellan when he caught the fish was so magical. Parker seems to have a knack for fishing too. Please let Kellan stay with you guys. Such a joy to watch you all.
How about taking the door off leading to kitchen. Build wall to wall cabinets with sliding doors to hide your supplies! Then add a table for the boys to do their schooling! And when they are not using it you guys will have a place to sit and have a coffee! Love the video❤👩❤️👨

Can't wait to see what it looks like when Joe mows around the cabin & clears a wider path from water to the cabin. Would be nice to clear more around the water so you can see it better from the house.
Tina tell Joe I said he needs a Bushmaster mower out there not a regular lawn mower oh my goodness he's going to get tuckered out fast
That mower is going to be hard pressed to get thru that wild jungle growth. I'd recommend salting the path with rock salt. Several 40lb bags of salt will go a long way in poisoning the soil and keeping the growth under control. Joe won't want to mulch that wild grass year after year.

No snakes in Alaska…we have plenty in Arkansas…lived here all of my life, but still can’t handle seeing one.

Possibly, you could yet frame in an opening in floor & dig out for a small cellar type storage area for canned good's, etc.

That is a wonderful idea…and one we actually thought of but too late. We thought of it after we already had the floor boards in and everything…no way to dig out the cellar now that it’s already got the floor framed in.
The bedroom extension is coming along nicely. I noticed, the chickens like to roam around where Joe is working… they love 💕 Joe.

My husband made a good point. If you had taken the new addition completely across the back, you could have put in a second bathroom and tied into the existing plumbing from bathroom number one.
Our septic tank pipes are right there, that’s why we didn’t run the addition all along the back side.☺️

I think it’s a great idea to move your master to the new addition to avoid all the traffic to the pantry plus it would be nice to add another sitting area outside the new addition.
