Rebecca and Megan Lovell formed the southern roots rock duo Larkin Poe in 2010 after the disbandment of their americana/bluegrass project "the Lovell Sisters". As Larkin Poe, the duo wield guitar and lap steel with ferocity, belting out vocal lines that match the intensity of this aggressive instrumentation. They're born stars whose experience collaborating with Elvis Costello, Conor Oberst and T Bone Burnett has given the sisters full control of every stage on which they perform. Girls, there really is no limit to your talent. Rebecca’s vocals are faultless, as are her riffs. Megans harmonies are superb, but her slide guitar solo at the end was just inspirational. Great stuff, you deserve to be at the top of every blues/rock chart there is. Seriously.

Its hard to hear what they are actually saying, it sounds like they are saying hawk or hope idk, also for the 2nd verse before 'devils getting his doom' I've watched multiple videos of this song and still dont know what they are singing. 🤷♀️

Awesome i love it ...i agree that one riff is similar to rages killin in the name of but still a bit different .. all musicians do this .. ive played for years and anytime i find a riff that sounds good instantly it usually is similar to something ive heard before .. just how it works .. i also think they would do a nice rage cover .. but disagree that men would put to much energy into the song ..kinda the point in the heavier music types like rage .. as for these Ladies they are awesome at all they do ..which from what ive seen is mostly cover songs .. but that is what they like and im sure gets them local paying gigs ... keep doing what u do Larkin Poe

The riff reminds more of Lenny Kravitz's "Always On The Run". Likely because of the amp tone though.

Except none those Rage fucks could even be roadies for these girls.
I've noticed a few comments that the riff was the same as "killing in the name" by Rage against the machine, if so those raging should be flattered that these very talented ladies would choose a song of theirs. My opinion is if Larkin Poe were to "cover" Killing in the Name they would do it better than the original , boys tend to loose their way with too much attitude and testosterone.

We all know this is not a cover of any song...it sounds a bit zepplin- like in the beginning to me. There are more comments about the riff at the full concert on audiotree and that is where I should have added my two cents worth.
