If i remember correctly, the movie Bad Day at Black Rock opening sequence featured a Southern Pacific streamliner. The locomotives were EMD F units in Black Widow livery, but the cars were in Daylight livery.
You could say that it is one of Southern Pacific's night trains, like "The Owl" or "The Lark". I wonder if Lionel has a variety of Southern Pacific cabooses from the red bay window type to the silver "Railroad Police" cupola type for freight service?
Never surprises me anymore with how expensive Lionel trains are anymore even without track and powerpack. I dont see how people can get into the hobby anymore without having hamy downs or having a well paying job
@strike9716 only time I ever see cheap used model trains are when they are usually broken and I got to learn how to repair it myself if I wanted to run or it's just going to be a display piece if I buy it and they still want 50 plus dollars >.>
@@Heroduothecomedian you can pretty much get any marx loco you want for 50 dollars. and they're pretty mcuh guaranteed to work. As well as some of the basic lionel engines (pretty much all the 2-4-2s) 150-200 you can get a kline 5 car set with either an alco fa or a switcher, both with double motors. 200 will get most lionel postwar locos (basically just no hudsons, trainmasters or f3s.)You can even get early mpc era gg1s pretty much brand new for sub 200 with double motors.
Love it! Both the freight and passenger set!
Even though the coaches have a bit of an odd color, this is still a good looking train set

Those are some nice passenger cars
Oh boy . Blue tooth !
What a goof ball !
👍👍👍👍👍👍
supposed to have silver font, not red. It just looks odd to me. I realize its a fantasy scheme.
Is that normal to mix freight cars and passenger cars?
Branch lines did, and so did Amtrak for a while on some routes.
@@revtlc Mixed trains!
