Chebe is a hit here in Uganda. But because of the mess associated with the chebe powder, most of our hair care producers who deal in chebe powder have ventured into chebe butter. This is a mix of chebe powder and other butters, I believe it's shea butter. And it's the bomb, there is no mess at all but with the benefits of chebe powder. After shampooing, one applies the chebe butter to soaking wet hair then plat. The braid can last a day but it works best when it's kept for about a week. The results are awesome, I've experienced hair growth, moisturized hair and my curls always pop after taking down the braid. I highly recommend chebe butter if one can come across it.
Lorna Asima, I’m also from Uganda 👋🏾. I’ve been wanting to try the Chebe butter but I’ve always wondered whether it acts as a sealant just like Shea butter. Thanks for sharing though.
@@tanaicannon5843 my supplier told me that there was no need to deep condition hair before applying the chebe butter. So I simply shampoo my hair, then apply the chebe butter on wet hair then plat. It saved me lots of time, coz even with no deep conditioning, my hair is thriving. But like once or twice a month, she recommends using henna paste which can be left in the hair for afew hours, or over night before shampooing. I guess this acts as the deep conditioner.

1. You need to put smaller sections 2. Reapply, wet your hair, take your time cuz you're using oil so there's a barrier over your hair from the time before when you first applied 3. When you wash it out use a clarifying shampoo, take your time, deep condition after. I did it for a month (twice so two months) of replying honestly my hair retained length and literally grew an inch and a half each of those months. Other times my hair doesn't retain length that much. It took me 6 years to get to mid back length. 4. Or just use a chebe butter 🤣🤣

Ive used Chebe powder for 6 months straight. It most definitely keeps the hair strong. I used it apart of the loc method. It helps with less breakage for length retention. I just kept my hair in twists and would use it everytime I washed my hair which was every three weeks. I didn't apply it twice a week, I just left it on until it was time to wash. It blended in with my hair, it didn't flake because I mixed it in with Peppermint Black Jamaican Castor Oil and African Pride leave in conditioner. When I would untwist for washing, my hair would still feel moisturized. I have 4c midback length hair. Edit: you dont necessarily have to braid the hair, just twist it and pin it up if that is easier for you.
I have 4c hair. Started using Chebe. My hair grew more than 1 inch in a month. Lessen mess by using less Chebe and add leave in condition to your oil. It really works. Makes hair super soft. Little breakage.
I have been using chebe for a year. I have to say that for me it works. Be warned that using it in the traditional way can be quite messy. I also infuse the chebe into my favorite oils using the double boil method (with a slow cooker). Please be aware that you should never apply chebe to your scalp. I tried it as closely to the way the women of Chad uses it as I could and it isn't convenient. Soooo I infused the herbs into a butter with essential oils and other stuff. I like it this way 👍🏿😊
This is my first time ever knowing of your existence. I haven't even started watching the video yet but your brief commentary and your introduction alone I am now a new subscriber. Love the personality!❤
I think is precisely that "stretch" that we see in the pictures of the women who traditionally use this. And we can't feel the hair in those pictures, so it quite probably is very hard (with the chebe on it).
DO NOT get chébé on your scalp; you will itch like crazy. If you do, take some acv and water, a washcloth and go over your scalp. Also for me, I spritz my hair pretty often to keep the chébé from falling off my hair.
how do u use chebe with short hair? i want to cut my hair and use chebe but i know u have to avoid the scalp…. especially if i cant braid it unless its smaller sections
@@kalisworl you don’t really need it on hair that short because your hair is going to grow and retain regardless until it reaches its plateau. When your hair get long enough to put into section 16/12/10/8/4/2 than you can use it to retain length. Just use oils and creams to keep it healthy

You are so funny. Thank you for the video. I’ve been using Chébé powder for almost a year and here are a few things I do. First I do the traditional Chad method and I now use gloves...I got tired of cleaning the herb from under my nails. I DO NOT put my hair in the 4 sections they do due to the plaits are just really thick and that’s to much for me. I section for what works for me and I don’t have them tight (like the Chadian women do)...I only have them tight along the shaft. It is very messy to use but I do love using this product. It’s not for everyone one. Have noticed less shedding...I still have it but not a lot...I also still have a bit of breakage BUT I just started using the Jet Cream and I’ve noticed the breakage is a lot less now...my hair also looks shinier and less frizzy with using the Jet Cream (and evoo mixture). My hair also looks thicker and I HAVE retained length. I use this twice a week. I also keep my hair wrapped ALL THE TIME. So again this is not for everyone.
Love that i found your page. With thin hair i relate to everything and to see fluff nugget grow so full and healthy makes me happy. I love the love you have for your hair now BUT can we talk about that natural glow....
I’ve used chebe powder for about four months. It has definitely helped my extra dry hair retain moisture and I have less hair fall. It remains to be seen whether it helps me retain length.
Yes! You finally tried Chébé powder. I agree, the Chadian practice of using it isn’t practical in our society. Instead, I make oil out of it and use it as is or I mix it in my deep conditioner. It works amazing either way for me.
I didn't braid my hair in those big chunky braids at all! I did individual braids so I could wear my hair out. Comfort to your lifestyle is the key! Yes keep it up your way❤
I Am Based In Nigeria for now...This Product Chebe Powder And Kar Kar Oil Is A Game Changer As I Am So Happy I Found A Woman That Sells These Products. I started my hair growth journey on 05/06/2023.
The best way to use chebe powder is to infuse it in oil and incorporate the oil into a butter or something similar and use as a sealing product or leave in conditioner. Long term use will decrease split ends and you’ll notice little to no shedding.

OMG 😲 yes. That's me too
Girlllllllll the thickness on these braids is wow
This is my first time seeing your channel and I love your vibe. You’re not rambling and repeating yourself in some annoying ass voice. I love how you’re just being yourself and not trying to out diva the next diva. It is so encouraging to see a sister have fun and truly be informative. I think you are beautiful fun quirky and smart. Subbing 🌹
Your hair has gotten so thick! The Ayurveda is definitely working. I use chebe and just do a protective style and wear a turban or slap.
Omg i’m so glad I found your page you are quirky as me and nerdy as me love it. I love This powder. It grew my hair so soft strong and long. I was upset that I stop my regime and I really need it because I am coming of age and my hair has changed. Thank you for making this video. Keep doing what you’re doing I’m a big fan
I saw Star Puppy with Chebe in the title and I had to click immediately
Right!!!!! Cause I ordered mine last month but hesitant to use it 🤷🏾♀️
RIGHT i been commenting about it all year
@@intelligent429 Same! It's been sitting on the shelf for months.
100!
Your personality is 🔥 it comes through the camera so well ! love your sense of humor & bringing fun to natural hair ☺️
I think is precisely that "stretch" that we see in the pictures of the women who traditionally use this. And we can't feel the hair in those pictures, so it quite probably is very hard (with the chebe on it).
"the Chadian-Chedian? women have a different texture than me is this whhhyyy?ISTHISARELAXER?!"😩😩
I'm extremely satisfied to be your 200th like 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
LOL! Your are a doggone mess! 😭😭😭
Took me out! 🤣🤣🤣
Your skin is so gorgeous you dont even need any make up! It's so flawless ❤ And your hair is such goals 😊❤
It's the science of 4c hair for me. And the 80 percent shrinkage 😂😍
I'm sorry the hairclip death has me rolling. I love your authenticity and confidence.
I love you. That’s all I came here to say. If I ever have a YT channel or make a video I wanna harness my inner weirdo in the same joyful way you do.
Your skin is flawlessly BEAUTIFUL
SHE SAID 80%!! I low key always expect her to do it when she described her hair and she just doesn't anymore
as someone who was obsessed with tangled for a bit, your intro gives me rapunzel vibes and i love it
You are so goofy and bright and lovely, how have I only just been recommended your channel 😭🥺
I’m loving your odd sense of humor!! You make me feel normal 😂🤣😂 and you’re freakin beautiful
I don’t know how I came across your channel but SIS, your skin, the GLOW, woooowwww!!!!!!
It could start its own UA-cam channel!
your hair has grown SO MUCH. So proud of you! Can't wait to get some merch
I finally found someone w/ my sense of humor!!! - you my love( Starpuppy) are a nut!!! I love you & your energy!!! Fluff nugget???? Continued success to you. Your a such a light of positivity.
I swear african Americans areeeee soooo beautiful ❤️. keep being a gorgeous queen I’m proud to be black and Indian much love 💕.
Your hair is really flourishing! Skin stay on glow and your vibe is so refreshing🥰 So dope!
i just had the ugliest laugh when the "You Died" transition card popped up, i was not expecting that!!!!
No like fr I snorted bout hard as hell when it happened 😂😂💀
Hehe
Same. That took me out hard.
31 seconds and I already subscribed.i will be using this and following the Moroccan hair calendar to know when to clip my ends. Beautiful sistah...do your thang boo.
First and foremost you are so cute! Beautiful eyes and amazing cheek bones. Secondly, you are hilarious! I love your sense of humor. lastly, i've been using this powder under my faux locks with shea butter, castor oil, glycerin and my hair stays really moisturized while braided. It is messy. I can't imagine using it in my normal hair routine.
Ok I have to double comment because ur hair has truly flourished girl. It is so thick.. I have the hair density u used to have and cannot wait to try everything you did to achieve thickening and hair growth 😊
Your hair has thickened up BEAUTIFULLY!!! And you are so gorgeous! Your smile and stunningly smooth skin...is BOMB!!
Fluff nugget has grown. I remember when u posted about having sparse hair, but I see it’s fuller now. It’s so healthy...
I would love to see a take 2 of this video. Where you try the Chebe powder in a wash day. Then you can compare 30 min to wearing it for a week.
Okay I saw Chebe on tiktok and then I Googled more info and then thru Google UA-cam popped up to watch a video about it and I randomly chose ur video and babies I'm glad I did...Your personality is everything. I subscribed immediately...You are everything ❤️
Seeing you dance makes me happy for some reason😁😂. Fluffnugget looks so much thicker by the way.
Your hair has come a long way in terms of thickness 👌🏼
4:00 --I felt that in my soul. I switched to satin scrunchies for sectioning for that exact reason.xD
The best way to use chebe powder is to infuse it in oil and incorporate the oil into a butter or something similar and use as a sealing product or leave in conditioner. Long term use will decrease split ends and you’ll notice little to no shedding.
That was the most adorable opening I've ever seen.
I've not watched any youtube in a while because life sucks and I've not had time. But I just have to say that since I last watched your hair looks incredible, it's so long and healthy looking, I love it
Yeaa I'm still struggling with my hair and watching you really helps me trying to accept my shrinkage.
That rogue clip though, toooooo many times to count!! 🤣 I snorted so loud and un-lady like!...but come to think about it, that happens often watching your videos. Fluff Nugget is looking marvelous!!
I love your sense of humor😁🌼 and I'm excited for this to become a series. Hopefully dance fever is contagious I really want to get over my fear of dancin infront of peeps
You needed more chebe on your hair Love. Plus you can make more plats instead of mimicking their exact style.
That skinnnn! You are always Glowingggg! 😍 Flawless Beauty
