- What an incredible experience. Probably the best "Island Experience" I've ever had. We were the only 2 tourists on the island. The locals were incredibly friendly. We ended up staying in our own private cottage, on our own island, miles away from the village. Can't wait to visit again!

I was there exactly 11 years ago today. Rode a bike from my hotel to downtown where there’s a grocery market. Lots of great memories. Miss Bora Bora.

Now this is what a real Island experience is like. I went to Tahiti in 1987 1 week Bora Bora & 1 Week Moorea. It was not comercialized at that point. It is now. When I was there I got to know several locals & really got along well with one of the strongest Tahitians you will come across. His name was Anni. Congrats on staying away from the rat race & a true wonderful experience.

@@TheGaddings the thing is.....me going to Australia and NZ ( from Ireland )....is it worth it to pay 1000 euro just to get to Tahiti from NZ ? Return. And another over 300 euro to get to Bora Bora. Return. Over 30 minutes flight.
@@ivanbrocko well, i wouldn't go to either of those places...instead of Tahiti, take a ferryover to Moorea...its way more beautiful. and dont go to bora bora, go to Maupiti, right next door...its how bora bora used to be before all the mass tourism

When you chase an octopus just to get them to use their ink you do realize that their ink supply will be depleted if they are hunted by something that will eat them.

really great videos! I notice you both wear long sleeve shirts a lot. Is that in place of sunscreen? I'm going to Tahiti soon and wondering if that is a good alternative.
thanks! yeah, i long sleeve, quick dry shirt is the best way to go if you are outside all day long..plus sunscreen on the face/legs etc. have fun out there!
