- Barcelona, this epic ‘Jewel in the Sun’ of a beachfront city, served up another absolutely top-class day of building afternoon 'Garbi' sea-breeze for the British, Swiss, American and French teams who all just keep on upping the ante in this most thrilling of Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cups. After-burners were lit, speeds were stratospheric, manoeuvres were downright tasty and the analysts have a long night ahead of them. The sport of sailing has never seen anything like this. Pinch yourself to believe it - and this is just the training part.

The real stuff begins. Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿💪
Go Team NZ, did you say the boat down at the viaduct.
All the teams are looking better as the days go by. Going to be a fantastic cup!
The coverage and access is awesome. Of course cat and mouse with what they can and can't say as they all learn their boats, as they move from simulator to the physical. Going to be an awesome Cup..
Sembra proprio stabile e veloce! Potrebbe essere la sorpresa di questa Coppa America!
love to see Goodie. If they'd listened to his repeated warning at the last AC they'd wouldn't have taken a swim.
Inos foil seems to be breaching surface more often than not
Grande Pietro!!!!
All the boats are looking really good.
Am liking what I seeing on both INEOS and Alinghi
Ineos..is very slow after and during each transfer😵💫
@@flo475644 yes, still dialing it (and the software) in. I'm guessing its a lot trickier to balance with their set up - but when they do ....
@@flo475644 Can you tell me the speeds?
Alinghi looks fast. Luna Rosa looks beautiful. Info’s looks ponderous. USA looks all at sea …..
Is the spray pattern from Ineos' foils a bit higher than the others? Seems to kick it up like a lawn irrigator!
Ineos looks like things are starting to come together.
Agreed - feeling a bit more hopeful now. Apparently they have a design with the centre of gravity farther forward - this is potentially faster but also harder to control. So mastering the flight will be critical.
Que maravilla
They all look a bit unstable in maneuver's. Early days though.
Called waves
Hi from Christchurch *New Zealand* ... Howdo as we say in Dutch. x
Hoi van Nederland. Wat is howdo?
It seems the AM boat doesn't generate enough hydraulic power to quickly retract the foiling arm. The foiling arm was dragging in the water for a long time during the tack. As the result the boat slowed down and the foil stalled, dropping the boat into the water.
When do the Races begin?
Looking at the NZ-Boat, i really doubt, that the other teams can catch up to their skills in such a short time. They are performing just perfect, even in high winds. But, very likely, the Races will be sailed in light winds, so the rest might have a slight chance.
early foiling in the light wind and ability to stay foiling in the light wind and waves expected will be key, and this comparison is not shown in any videos. so we shall see...
Way too early to call IMO. Everyone is looking slick . TNZ will be everything but smug
Another modest kiwi posts....
I wish we had a boat speed indicator and a wind speed indicator for each of these videos. It's impossible to understand what boat is really faster like that. I remember watching tons of videos before the last cup and I thought Ineos and American Magic were the fastest but they ended up not being the best teams during the cup
Just go with the armchair experts on here. They are good to the nearest 1000th of a knot.
Honestly when she’s going she looks good
Shure hope albatross doesn't notice you Kidd's ran off with his foil's 😊 we ain't saying anything ❤
Peccato che Sibello non sia più in LR :(
Mercedes & Redbull in one video
Ineos looks more balanced on the old rudder
As much as I would like Alinghi to be the best, I am worried about her little clearance from the water and tipping bow compared with her American counterpart flying high up, this assuming that weather conditions were the same.
But the point is to close the gap and the end plate effect.
Alinghi still looks unstable on the foils
Quantum sails..?!
Very hard to spot any sail manufacturer logos even on American Magic
The first fella doesn’t sound like an American. But maybe this is how Americans from Long Island sound.
Paul Goodison, an English Olympic Gold winner
Ineos looks pregnant compared to the others!
It’s ugly but looks fast 💨
