Don't be too hard on Dr Cywes. We doctors get excited about medicine and will frequently interrupt each other during discussions especially if someone presents an idea you have not heard of before. Your mind starts to race. I didn't feel stepped on, anyway he Is younger and a lot bigger than me so I was not going to interrupt him.😊

I am absolutely amazed that material of this depth and high quality is available for free for any of us to watch. And of course I’m also very thankful. This is just plain really really great content. This is as good as any Grand Rounds, or other medical symposium video that I’ve ever watched. Absolutely outstanding.

This session was excellent, as were parts 1 & 2. I was very impressed with Dr David Nabert, clearly a cardiologist at the top of his game and, just as important, with the gracious willingness to share his personal journey. Thank you Dr. Nabert. Finally, as always, thank you Dr. Cywes! My brain feels bigger for having watched this( I don't think it's the Ketones 🙂).

I have had two ablations. I have had 3 cardio versions since. I have stubborn Afib with fast heart rate. I’m 74. Been keto since 2019, lost 75 lbs. weigh 197, 5’7” take 120 mg of Sotolol. Currently in Afib right now. And miserable. But staying keto. Wish I could control.

Also, had a stroke in 2023, despite eliquis. But am walking, and talking. Just a bit of memory issues but not bad. Drs were surprised that I had a stroke. Now my thyroid just jumped from 5.1 to 75.1 after my blood work since 3 months. Crazy strange. I hate AFib!!!

I would love to understand better why doctors are all good with restricting salt to lower fluid retention but don't do the same with fluids caused by sugar in the blood which also causes fluid retention. I cut all carbs out of my diet and lost 50 pounds in about 2 weeks and had a horrible time with my health for about a month. I am well passed it now and feel great. My skin looked like old elephant skin for months because I was deflated. I know I didn't drop fat only fluid. No one talks about how many people out there are considered obese when it is only fluid retention.

I love you Dr. Cywes, but would you PLEASE let the poor man finish his sentences! Several times you posed a question and half-way through answering you jumped all over him with another question, and I didn't get to hear the last part of his answer. Remember we are just 'civilians' and have to process some of the words and phrases mentioned. Also the liberal use of abbreviations that I assume most doctors know & understand, but us 'civilians' don't, made it hard to keep up with you or just make sense of the whole thing. You also questioned him like an agitated interrogator in a police station (how many cups of coffee did you have before this interview?). Dr. Nabert must know you well or has the patience of a saint. P.S. I hope those are Abs making your shirt so tight. Hard to believe you run fasted with your dog on Monday mornings, and still look slightly 'paunchy.' 🙄
