Varna Vaivastha is an Indic Anthropological Interpretation of Any Society which comes through you as per your reincarnation and life path these aren't caste based birth based but rather Roles and Responsibilities towards the Profession itself while maintaining Dharma and it's four pillars of Cleanliness, Truth, Compassion & Austerity
    Tatva Varna Dharma
    Akaasha Sadhu Surrender
    Vayu Vaishaya Compassion
    Agni Kshtriya Cleanliness
    Jal Brahmin Minimalist
    Dharti Shudhra Truth
    Panch Tatva Prakriti
    Panch Tatva Pravitri
    Panch Tatva Shareer
    Panch Tatva Samaaj
    Aham Brahmasmi
    I am the Universe
    1 Aham Shudhra (Dharti)
    2 Aham Brahamin (Jal)
    3 Aham Kshtriya (Agni)
    4 Aham Vaishya (Vayu)
    5 Aham Sadhu (Akaash)
    6 Aham Atama
    7 Mahadeva Namo Namaha (Paramatma)
7 Chakra 7 Colours 7 Week Days 7 Primary Nav Grah other than Rahu & Ketu who are always on a retrograde while Rahu represents what you seek to resolve this life time (descend), Ketu represents your past life time which you mastered (ascend)
    Within in Society Chatur Varna
    1 Shudhra Artist | Shiva + Rudra
    2 Brahmin Seeker | Brahma + Manu
3 Kshtriya Protector | Shakti + Tri Gun
    4 Vaishya Explorer | Vishnu + Vayu
5 Sadhu Self Mastery | Sadhana
Reclusive Hermit who ran Gurukul & Ashram in Van away from society for better and higher learning process as it's an ideal place for attaining Shantata (Ideal state of mind coming from Navras) or mental state to imbibe knowledge.
Chatur Varna is for Karma Setup while
Gurukul is for establishing Dharma in all aspects so that each Varna works in accordance to one another as the panch Tatva work with one in prakriti.
All 5 together constitute Panch Varna Vaivasya, Panchnama are not tribals or those outside Chatur Varna but Panchnamas are Sadhus, Sant, Rishi's, Babas, Naga Babas who have renounced everything to pursue Sadhana.
As even in a tribal setup one would come across Chatur Varna system being practiced as someone would be a shaman or a warrior or an explorer or artists which is as Prakriti as in any kingdom or empire or Civilisation. The western interpretation of tribal comes from the word tri as most indeginious, pagan followers have a common lineage of believing in the concept of Trinity of Brahma Vishnu Mahesh or Poseidon, Zeus & Hades or pick any Civilization from Egyptian to Nordic to Greek to Romans and the trinity prevails but with different interpretations names and perception.
    Thus we always had a
    Panch-ayat System
    Ram Rajya Pra-panch
    Gram Rajya Sar-panch
    Gram Raj Panch-ayat Raj
    64 Kalas of Krishna 16 Kala Varna 4x16= 64
    112 Sadhana of Mahadev 7x16= 112
In a Gurukul System where Education was taught on Bhiksha Siksha Diksha i.e. imbibing knowledge with humility than Ahanakar students would visit neighbouring village one by one to collect Bhiksha and their overall Interactions to the people along with their inclination towards studies and skills being taught would define their Pravitri. Living and residing in the Garva of Gurus the students would display their instinctive attributes towards each Varna and through their proficiency they would be allocated a certain Varna at their Graduation by the Guru's. If 9 months of Mother's Garva then 108 months in the sharan of Guru or 9 months of 12 years in a Gurukul.

They had a hierarchical system in Europe with church priests at the top. In India kings were always at the top and people never used the jati, varna in practice. The Portuguese did not understand this. So they introdecex, the Europeans including the British had to document this to convert people and that is why, the classifications, schedule lists etc were brought in. Most of the famous, respected gurus were not Kshatriyas or Brahmins. The caste systems were created by the British to divide and rule and mainly for categorizing and targeting for conversion. how can the colonial powers rectify the past?
as said by Satish: by working together.
in order to words together we must follow millennia old rule:
    vasudhaiva kutumbakam
which means that: all life (all living beings) are one family.
    Jesus said it too:
love God with all your heart
love God with all your mind
    and
love your neighbour as you love yourself.
see all as your brothers & sisters.
NEVER claim that there is only one path to God - this is pride in its most acute form
this means that you want to be better than others
you want your religion to be better than others
and the only true religion (meaning that others are false ones).
history shows that this way of thinking ALWAYS leads to bloodshed.
    NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
we may not believe in the beliefs of others
but we have a duty to respect the beliefs of others as long
as they follow the above universal rules.
the love of God & the love all living beings is the essence
    or
    the seed of all religions
we may change religion but we have to follow this essence of religion
why can't just love God & all living entities in a Christian way
in a Muslim way and Bharatiya (Vedic/Hindu) way
    or any other way?
because of our pride & greed!!!
I'm willing to die for my beliefs
    but
I'm not willing to kill for them...
    salam aleikum

Britisher colonist missionary created Caste System (Casta word in Spanish/ Portuguese has been used as a racial), which was a doctrine part of the divide rule in INDIA. In Hindu Santana Dharma work divide system called as Varna system “वर्ण व्यवस्था” (CASTE NAMED was NOT in the HINDU Santana Vedic dharma text scriptures). Hindu Vedic dharma text scriptures called as varna system which was NOT on the basis of birth but on the basis of KARMA (person's actions). According to Hindu scriptures, the society has been given stability by the work of four varnas - Brahman (work related to education), Kshatriya (protection from enemies), Vaishya (commerce) and Shudra (industry and art). Each person first born in Shudra Varna and then after him/her knowledge go to the next level, even 1st class to the degree of master. If you, born in the Brahman family, are free to choose, you can go work on the Shudra family to become Shudra same if you were born in Shudra you can go to Brahman Varna as the Valmiki Shudra family wrote Ramayana. Britisher missionary created Caste System to divide rule millions of people and looted 45 Trillion from Bharat.

Caste or divisions named by the Work done by an individual originated from Southern India. Numerous Sangam literatures have evidences on that. However there were no hierarchical divisions between the native castes. They were all equal. As in modern times, any lawyer's son can become a doctor; or a carpenter's son can become a teacher, and so so on. There were training institutions 1000s of years ago in Southern India; the guru's in that institutions identified the skills in each individual and trained them according to their skills (E.g. if the teacher identifies a potter's son to be skilled in teaching, they'll train him to be a teacher). During the time when the vedic varna system merged into the caste culture in India, that's when the castes were made into hierarchal divisions. Some castes were considered upper and some middle and some lower there after. Introduction of varna system also wiped out the ancient university/training institutions as well. In the absence of training institutions, the only way to learn a skill is through ancestral training or training received from parents/grand-parents. Therefore people were forced to do their ancestral work. Hence now it appears like each caste does one work and they are born to do that way. British has nothing to do with the caste system in India. Hope that helps.
