My mom told me about the nervousness/butterflies thing 15 years ago. She was like « people get divorced and these marriages aren’t working because they get married based on arousal which they mistake for love », so this is a very ingrained thing in me. Growing up I was always wondering why everyone in media tv etc. kept talking about butterflies and hotness, when for all my crushes I never had butterflies or would have defined them as hot. I’ve felt this weird butterfly nervousness thingy a few times in my life and it made me act very self consciously, whereas guys I really liked I was always natural with and didn’t mind my behavior, because my interior alarm was not going off. Trust your body.

I need a man who values my independence but also is able to be a leader. Is okay with me working but I can work less when the kids are young. I still want to split chores. I like a guy who’s masculine but not overly masculine - I need some simp tendencies and the guy being romantic but with some self respect. I like when a guy is turned on by a girl who’s outwardly feminine, gentle, but still values my masculine energy such as my ambition in a career and my brash humour. I don’t think I’d be attracted to a guy who just wants a quiet girl who stays in the kitchen. But I also wouldn’t be attracted to a guy who wants a masculine woman who will walk all over him.
@K_anita. honestly I've never really been much bothered with feminism itself but using it as an insult to put down women who have their own sets of belief and moral foundation isn't really a healthy trait to have in a person, kind of an indication of low emotional intelligence and close mindedness.
Once you start going on a few dates you get over that anxiety/fear and they can actually be fun and interesting. But you have to put yourself out there. If you can’t meet single guys around you walking on the street or at school, then you’ll have to download the apps
