I stopped fishing the East Coast of Florida in the summer, because of that problem. Solution would be to get over to the Gulf and do a trip. Federally licensed charter boats can keep 2 per person from June 1 until August 18th. I brought home my limit plus a couple of nice mangrove snapper. Going back out on the 1st of July out of Clearwater. The Double Eagle has a 12hr (5-5pm) for 180.00 plus food and tip. It's a Red Snapper trip and they limited out on that 1st trip.
@@EuSoumMiTo I was going to, but I have a family trip around those dates, so I’ll have to pass this year. Lol, 2 day season! I hope you get a stud Red snapper! Tight lines!
I was wondering if you have tried a long leader 15-20 foot with 15-20 pound mono for mutton snappers ? Have had good success with this set up drifting off Jupiter. I usually cut a sardine in half and use the smallest hook I can get away with hooking it near the tail in the toughest part.Mangroves really like this set up and you can get trigger fish with this easier because of the smaller hook. Back off the drag after hook set so you won't bend are straighten the hook. Anyway just a idea, good luck and keep those lines tight and videos coming.
Man… not sure if you’ve ever seen underwater footage of red snappers around 100+ ft of water. They usually bunch up like school of grunts, and they devour anything! Super tough to catch anything else when near those schools unfortunately 😢
Got to love that jig bite.
Hell yea
Awesome video. I'm actually the one driving the forklift!! 😂 that's pretty cool.

I appreciate your input! Mangroves and muttons are always art the top of my list and I’ll definitely give that a try. Tight lines!
What lb leader did you use ?
I was using 50 lb braid & 50 lb leader for bait fishing and 40 lb braid and 40 lb leader for jigging. Tight lines!
@@theanglercrew7059 I went last Wednesday on the Obsession, lost 3 fish and I was using 50lb leader too
@@FlWeekendAngler was the leader chewed up or did it snap? There were lotta sharks out when I went and they will chew right through 50lb.
@@theanglercrew7059 snapped, I was thinking maybe my knot failed
