1. Draconic Aegis - is my absolute favorite shield, but it sucks soooo much, that you can't dye this gem :/
2. Guardian of the Hunt
3. Ebonhand-, Amber-, Diamond Aegis
4. Goldleaf Defender + Aureate Aegis (Black or White ofc)
5. Tormented-/ Echovald- & Tengu-Shield

i used to have req 7 -2 -2 shields, just in the tower shield or runic shields variety, but super rare. sold all the super rare stuff...haven't logged on in a long time

I only played prophecies back when it came out and never played any of the expansions. It's been so much fun to play again this game is absolutely massive and extremely underrated.

Sun and moon shield was always underrated imo. Same with a simple aegis.
But my favourite combos I personally used were:
1. Eternal blade & eternal shield
2. A purple chaos Axe and tormented shield
3. Felblade and shadow shield
But I always liked the magma shield too. It's just such a rare but iconic prophecies campaign skin. Back when I played it felt super uncommon too, even for rich players.

Amethyst aegis without a doubt, paired with a chaos axe and chaos gloves…classic combo.
Bonus: Surian scythe is a stellar skin

I'm still new to GW1 and had no idea there is so many unique designs as I keep running into the same designs in my playthrough. Is there a transmute function like in GW2 or you can only get the skin and hope for the right stats? What if you get skin you wanted, but stats are bad, do you just have to keep looking until you get the stats you want if you are aiming for certain looks?

Amethyst Aegis with a red dye is amazing.
There are too many great shield skins. No reason to make a top 5 as there is something for everyone.
