As much as I long for Jon Hiseman's drumming on this track from the early 70s (when he was really 'going for it'), Malcolm Mortimore's playing here is sufficiently different so as to be engaging without any stylist comparison. Indeed, his more open rock approach and the absence of busy rolls and any jazz sensibilities remove him from any threat of comparison with the mighty Mr. Hiseman. Indeed, it is nice to see someone in the drummer seat who is willing to risk critical fan furor by doing things differently.
He's definitely still got it! No-one could ever accuse the amazing Mister Farlowe of being past it, vocally, 'cos past it, he ain't!
