Warming up by only idling is very slow and not doing much. Better is to drive away directly, however not pushing. Higher revs as shown in this video are not that problematic (I guess its max 4500), when throttle load is not too heavy
@7Skidoo Agree on that. I'm in regular contact with a garage that does rod-bearings weekly for the S-engines. It is hard to define one cause, because the cases and mileages are such different. Their theory is that is it mostly due to the width of the used bearings. For example, the S50/S52 engines have no rod-bearings issues and are also high-revving engines, but have more narrow bearing shells. Can't imagine the users of E36's are much different in behaviour than E46/E90's owners
To clear up any confusion. It’s typically best to let your s65 idle for 10 mins or until your oil indicator is able to read your oil level. If it’s not able to read oil it’s safe to assume your oil is still molasses. These cars aren’t for everyone, if they were the parts wouldn’t be so expensive. I bought one only to fix the last guys mistakes

Such beautiful cars, BMW will never be the same, cherish these moments while we still can❤
Thank you. I like it very much!!
Man! Please take a minute or two to let it sit and warm up the engine before you drive! replacing those rod bearings are quite costly!
thank you. I'll be careful.

@@hjd5973 Thanks! I understood up to 4500 rpm
@@gragelife2859 If it makes any difference I warm up my e92 m3 by letting it idle until the engine revs drop and then keep it below 3-4k until at 210

Love it! I miss cold start 🥲
thanks!!
1. idle it for 1 min 2. drive it slowly max 2-3rpm 3. check until oil level is fully up 4. than drive it like M
Thank you!
I will do what you say.
no need to idle it for 1min thats bullshit
10-15 secs is fine indeed.@@tomdx222
Amazing car brother!

@@gragelife2859 you could also swap to 5W-30 engine oil. It’s not as thick. Only use that if you don’t live in a cold area. I use it here in CA
10 min idle ? Where did you get this detail?

They are big change to the eyes and it suites the car really well
I want to hear that thing open up more , blast of 😆
ok thanks!
Sounds like a hover craft 🥲

Step one start, step 2 immediately start driving. Not ragging let it warmup e92s spin rod bearing like the e60 M5.

Is this fully catless? Or are primary cats still there?
I don't know if the expression is correct. x pipe and rear exhaust only.

What kind of front splitter do you have? Exhaust sounds INSANE! Mine is just DECAT but doesn't sound nearly as crisp.
don't know about the front splitter. This sound may be related to AFE filter.
So to confirm, this is the power craft x-pipe and exhaust? And is it catless or high flow cats?
Yes. X pipe and exhaust pipe made by power craft.High flow cat, not catless
What’s the brand of the exhaust?
This exhaust is power craft japan hybrid exhaust system.
