- This video is a quick overview of how I paint a Warhammer Horus Heresy Raven Guard Legionary Space Marine in Mark VI Armor and Jump Pack. It includes a red glowing eyes tutorial.
For the whole mini including the base the process took around 2.5 hours.

Raven Guard
##### The Armor #####
1. Prime the Mini Black
2. Base coat the mini by adding lighted and shadowed areas while stippling on thin layers of a mix 1:2 of Vallejo - German Grey 70.995 and Water with a Artis Opus - Series D size S brush (about 70-80% of the mini should be covered with the color)
3. Add volumetric highlights by stippling thin layers of a mix 1:2 of Vallejo - Basalt Grey 70.869 and Water with a Artis Opus - Series D size S brush
4. Intensify the volumetric highlights by stippling on tiny layers of a 1:2 mix Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992 and Water with a Artis Opus - Series D size XS brush
5. Add edge Highlights to all upper corners that would reflect light with Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992
6. Base coat the front of the Helmet with Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992
7. Add volumetric highlights to the front part of the helmet with a 1:1 mix of Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992 and P3 - Morrow White
8. Finish the volumetric highlight on the helmet with P3 - Morrow White
9. Base coat the metal parts and the sub suit with Vallejo - Gunmetal Grey 77.720
10. Prepare the surface of the armor with Micro sol and apply decals
11. Cover the whole miniature with a coat of Vallejo Premium - Gloss Varnish 62.064 with a brush or airbrush
!!!LET THE GLOSS VARNISH FULLY DRY!!!
12. Mix 1:2 Schmincke - burnt Sienna and Schmincke - ivory black add as much white spirit that you achieve a contrast color consistency, and cover the whole mini with the mixutre
13. Let it dry for at least 12+ hours
14. use a Qtip or eye bronzer to remove the oil wash from all the surfaces
15. Apply a full coat of Vallejo Premium - Satin Varnish 62.063 with a brush or airbrush
16. Highlight all metal Parts with Citadel - Ironbreaker
17. Bring back some attention to the most relevant edge highlights with Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992
18. Apply some Armor chipping and scratches with Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992
19. Add some depth to the scratches and focused recesses with Citadel - Black Templar Contrast
20. Use a glaze mix of 1:4 Citadel - Black Templar Contrast and water to intensify the most shaded Black areas
21. Bring back some shine to the front part of the helmet with a 1:1 mix of Vallejo - Neutral Grey 77.992 and P3 - Morrow White
22. Finish highlighting the front part of the helmet with a tiny volumetric highlight of P3 - Morrow White
23. Done!
###### Glowing Eyes #####
1. Base coat the entire eye, including the corners, with Citadel - Mephiston Red
2. Use Citadel - Evil Sunz Scarlet, and add center focused highlights with brush strokes from left and right for both lenses.
3. Add an edge highlight the size of the lens highlight using the color from above
4. Repeat step two with an even smaller highlight mix of 2:1 Citadel - Evil Sunz Scarlet and P3 - Morrow White
5. Add an edge highlight the size of the highlight in the bottom corner using the mix from above
6. Repeat step two with an even smaller highlight mix of 2:1 Citadel - Evil Sunz Scarlet and P3 - Morrow White
7. Add an edge highlight the size of the highlight in the bottom corner using the mix from above
8. Add a tiny dot highlight to the lens with P3 - Morrow White
9. Carefully apply a glaze in the corners of the eye lens with Citadel - Mephiston Red
10. Done!
