    I didn't think we even needed scenes in the TMP, but this is friggin' awesome and so much simpler. Bravo, Fender. Thanks for the informative demo. 👏

      Thanks, I'm glad you found it useful. I have been hanging out for this for a long time, Switch Link was a band aid in my opinion that didn't cut it. So glad they made scenes so powerful and easy to use.

      @@JonsGuitarGarage It was a bit tedious with all the on/bypass stuff, which got mixed up easily. This looks like it's so much easier, way faster, and even more powerful. I am so happy I went with the TMP over the QC.

      Absolutely! It drove me mad that the switch link could get out of sync if you wanted footswitches for the individual effects. I've only spent today playing with scenes but it seems to work perfectly

    Great video as always! You are right this is probably the biggest update since the relase date because of the scenes and all the bass content (I didn't check effects which have been added yet) but for me personally the update with Orange, Soldano, Blonde and Princeton was probably better one because it created many new possibilities :D but I guess it's all about the personal preferences. Keep it up!

    Thanks for the overview! What happens when you are finished with your scene? Do you publish it to the TMP so you can use it in a live setting?

    • @JonsGuitarGarage
      @JonsGuitarGarage  Місяць тому

      It automatically saves the scenes changes as you go so that when you hit save it saves all the info on all of your scenes for that preset. Does that make sense? Basically you just save presets not scenes.

    The scenes are a dream come true, but for an entirely different use case. I sing and play both acoustic and electric (one or the other per song). And I really hated having tons of presets and/or footswitch assignments just to get basics things done - normally not an issue, but as a singer, it is. Reason: If you have several presets (like 5-10) to cover your various acoustic and electric sounds, you want to be able to have the same vocal sound across all presets. And here‘s the big problem (so far): If you tweak your vocal chain (compression, EQ, reverb type of amount, etc.) to better suit each given venue, then you needed to replicate those changes across ALL existing presets! Not at all feasible for solo performing!!!! With scenes, it should now be a lot easier. Maybe 1 or 2 acoustic scenes with various scene-based options, and the same for electric. So if vocal tweaking is needed, it only needs to be done in maybe 2 to 4 places. Haven‘t updated yet, but this looks a lot better than before.

    Is there a way to set overall scene volumes, or do we just use the Amp Level parameter? - I’m thinking specifically for things like a 2dB boost etc.

    • @JonsGuitarGarage
      @JonsGuitarGarage  24 дні тому +1

      I've been using the amp level personally and then use the preset volume to balance with other presets. You could use a clean boost at the end of the chain or an EQ pedal and set the gain per scene?

    After adding a couple of scenes it looks like there a slight delay when switching between each scene. Where as using the switch link there isn't. Fender will probably sort this out in the next update. Personally don't think that creating a scene is better than the Headrush version or the original version as the Prime also has a lag now which it didn't prior to the release of the Prime version. There again it is early days with the unit and at some point Fender will bring us more great updates. Best wishes fella 🎶🎶🎶🎶👍👍

      I just had a play and for me there might be a tiny delay switching but it's not really that noticeable?

    can you change back and forth between 2 scenes with one footswitch?

    • @JonsGuitarGarage

      You can only toggle a scene on/off per footswitch, turning off goes back to the base preset

    I find that "scene edit" doesn't do anything: if I'm in a scene, and one of my effects has "scene edit" off (or on, makes no difference...), and I press that (*like a boost button), that is now stuck in that scene as if I wanted to make "boost" permanent on that scene. I want to maybe hit "boost" when my rhythm scene is on, then switch to say, "lead" (more grit, boost off), then back to rhythm and have the boost off there. Is that a bug? I though that's what "scene edit" off was supposed to do.

    • @JonsGuitarGarage
      @JonsGuitarGarage  Місяць тому

      @@edoates so this is from Jason at Fender "If you turn OFF the Scene Edit button it's essentially a "global block" within the preset. If you have an amp model and have Scene Edit OFF for base preset and all scenes, any parameter changes (besides bypass state) will stay in sync across all scenes." Hope that helps

    • @edoates
      @edoates Місяць тому

      @@JonsGuitarGarage I read that in the manual update. But I expect that if I had a particular effect "scene edit" OFF, in a scene, but on elsewhere, that if another scene *(like base) turned that effect OFF, and then I switch to a scene where it was turned on by another footswicht, but "edit off" was set for that scene,than the base effect would then apply. What I really want if for a scene to have some thing change (edit ON) when I activate that scene, but other things be set to the base preset; then I have some effects I can turn on temporarily for while that scene is in use (like the aforementioned BOOST) and then if I use another scene, then come back to the first one, for the "base" effect state to be restored. If I have 4 effects for example, I'd need sixteen presets to have all possible ON/OFF states...the BASE preset should set the defaults, and only when a scene "edit" is ON, should any changes made while using that preset persist.
