I switched from Fractal to Fender TMP in August. The intuitive interface of the TMP lets me focus on the music. Using a Fractal live was distracting me from performing. Live shows are so much easier now because Fractal's floorboard was not easy to program at all and I had to remember what every scene did in multiple settings because there was no display screen on Fractal's floorboard. I did miss the scene function of the Fractal though. Thank you Fender for adding scenes with this new update. And a big thanks to you Doc for quickly showing us how to create scenes. I'm going to be busy tomorrow working on my set lists and making scenes for our songs.
I agree. I sold all my Fractal units. I could dial them in just fine but at some point I just didn't want to any more. TMP is top notch and well worth the money.
I really appreciate you taking the time to teach me these things. Going to upgrade my firmware later today and am really happy with the new improvements. Happy Thanksgiving Doc!
I'm completely new to the multi-effects universe. I'm learning over again after brain issues and losing use of my fret hand for a while. I had zero clue what the big deal was about scenes, and you have cleared it up beautifully, thank you.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can also change a parametar of a specific block using a scene in Headrush Prime.. I think you just have to save it as a preset
Not a fan of the switch link but scenes are a whole lot better as they are on the Headrush. The tone master pro could do with a few more modulation effects. Thanks for sharing this with us. Best wishes 🎶🎶🎶🎶😊😊😊😊

I'm sorry but you're wrong. This isn't scenes. A scene is a fixed setup that can be recalled at any time with the push of a button. The TMP doesn't work like that. Example. I have a couple scenes and also a couple separate stomp boxes in a song. I recall scene one, then turn on one of the stomp boxes, then hit scene two. when i go back to scene one, the stomp box that i turned on is still on. Fender's 'scenes' are in edit mode at all times! I think that's really dangerous as it'll be easy to inadvertently change a scene, and also it makes using stomps with scenes impractical. Others, like Helix, have the scenes fixed, so you can add stomps, but return to the original scene at any time.
Fender calls them scenes. Perhaps there is another setting on the stomp that needs to be turned on/off so the scene is remembered as you originally set it.
It may not work exactly how you want at the moment but they are scenes. The only difference is right now the scenes are discarded when you alter them by adding in another pedal. Helix for example has a global preference so you can force the Snapshots/Scenes to recall or discard. This is the missing link to doing what you want it to do to actually recall the scenes as you first created them. I have spoken with the guys at Fender and confirmed the current state is normal operation until the next update where they may add these global preferences. So therefore, I am not wrong.....it just doesn't work how you want at this time.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios If it can't be recalled at any time it's not a scene. Right? Tha's literally the entire purpose of scenes. In a live context it's useless if you want to use pedals on top of scenes.

Scenes are gamechanger. TMP is now....difficult to beat
I agree
I also had no idea what scenes really were so I appreciate this. I can now see how this would be very useful.
Glad it was helpful!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Enjoy the new firmware!

Music is a great way to enjoy life. Take your time and enjoy the ride. Let me know what questions you have.
Love your videos!! Scenes are great..
Thanks for watching. I am ecstatic about this update.
As always, 100% right on. TY
You are very welcome.
So with the amp scene edit, you could actually have the amp on a clean tone for one scene, then dirty on another scene?
That’s what I did in this video. The TMP is a great upgrade from a Headrush.
Great video, thanks, how about a video that does heavy clean using multiple amps and scenes ?
Coming soon and I have presets on my website that includes multiple amps with scenes. Thanks for watching.
Now we’re talkin!
It’s a great addition to an already great product.
Thanks Bud
You're welcome!
Hey man, if Im using a iPad, if I want to use the Pro App on it do they connect up together via bluetooth? cheers
yes they will
Seems pretty awesome. Which unit do you think sounds better overall. TMP or HeadRush Core? Thanks.
Both sound great but I love the form factor of the TMP. Its everything I wish the Core would have been.

That is correct. You have to save a block preset then recall it in that scene.

I agree. I only use tremolo. What other fx would you want?

I never use that stuff even in the Headrush. I keep things pretty simple.
Thanks 🙏
You’re welcome 😊

If you use all scenes and no stomps then it all works fine. You may have to rethink the workflow for the time being.
Thanks for the “worth the money” comment.
