All the horses are looking beautiful❤.
Joel, it's amazing to me, as a photographer, to see just how natural light at different times changes the look of the horses. Before feeding, when getting the barrel full of hay, how absolutely beautiful the horses looked. They were so shiny and chizzled looking. Gorgeous. Thanks for taking us along and all the hard work. Be blessed my friend. John here, photographing the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
Argentina scratching his butt was funny.
I must giggle at Leia scratching on the hay bales 😊
Having 25 horses sure keeps you busy !! You are so organized!! 😀😀
Love how sensitive to all the horses you are Joel- 🙏💚
I guess he said ok everyone wants a video. Watch me, Scratches his butt 😂😂😂
When you were answering the question it was cute watching the mini donkeys
HI JOEL! Love to see all the horses doing well. Ebony is a beauty 💕💕❤❤ watching again! Saw Leia scratching on the hay bales😊😊
It was so
Funny when the two
Horses went in the wrong stall and the horse that was suppose to go in that stall
Stood and look like she was waiting for you to
Fix it. I watch that part several times because it was funny
Your insightful approach to managing 25 horses showcases dedication, expertise, and a deep love for these majestic animals, inspiring admiration for your commitment to their care and well-being. And I am Floating Village Life In From Viet Nam
Hey 👋 Joel, Great job taking Care of ALL of the Horses, 👍🙏
Ebony is a beautiful horse. Buster and Rocky were having a big time! Thanks for the video, Joel.
Good day to all.
Nice editing Gavin!
I always love to watch Jac trot down to his stall. Summer rain storms are usually a welcome occurrence, and the horses love it.
Beautiful horses. I love horses always wanted one but I know they are herd animals so I don’t have the space. Great job, seems physically ☺️
All the horses looking in fantastic condition 👏👏👏👏👏 Enjoyed the video lovely to see your interaction with the horses again always a pleasure to watch ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
Always great to hear from you Gloria 😁
Great video. Enjoy seeing daily care for our horse friends. Thank you. ❤❤❤❤❤
Everyone needed scratching today. Leia and Argento were too cute.
Sampson - - My fave !!
I loved this video. One of my favorite.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m impressed how accepting the horses are with the fly masks😊
A few horses have been renamed by their owners. Do horses usually respond to their names like dogs, or don't they know their names?
Yes, and repetition is the mother of retention. That holds true with horses 😁
To draw and the stable life I love today's title for your video and that horse was anxious to get out into the pastures that horse was two impatient was that rocky or buster making all that noise and I'll be looking for to Wednesdays video and see what you've been up to since today video and I love Megan's baby kitten is well it's so cute and what did you end up naming the kitten in the end Joe and Megan 🤔.
Yes we did. Her name is Kida. I'll be showing her from time to time 😁
Getting ready for a few rainy days coming up in mid Missouri. Love your updates .
Awesome video 👍👍
Unknown Donkey: Joel! Joel! Joel! Joel! Joel! 😂😂😂
Hi Joel. How is George's eye doing? I recall he had a problem for a while. It is a pleasure to watch the individual care these horses get.
Great question! He is much better 😁
Waving a hand from tropical strom texas
Duuuuuuude.... Your gonna need rain gear.... lol
@@cferge and a boat 🛶
Speaking of the Hay Barn, have you all decided on when you'll be breaking ground yet?? I'm really looking forward to it!! Love the channel/videos!! 😊
I am ready for Autumn! Lol.
Growing up on a farm in the ‘50s and ‘60s we mostly had Case tractors. Almost all or equipment was New Holland. I had no idea they were now the same company!
Greeting from Tucson, AZ 🌵
Champs side eye was hilarious 😂
Love hearing the chirping birds too😊
Thanks Joel!
i think in your opening you should have Gavin the Horse's video when Gavin says I'm Gavin for comic relief
Thank you for the great video. The information you pass on is very interesting and informative.👍👏
Princess Leia
Skywalker
Obi wan kenobi
Star Wars ❤
i actually had an interview with New Holland for a programming job many years ago
Hello Joel I believe God did it right with the absolute beauties it's such a treat to see them all and your interaction with them, well done Joel 😁🇨🇦
In my youth I did an apprenticeship at a polo pony yard. I learnt how to ride them and all work involved in keeping them clean and healthy. We had 60 horses all privately owned by companies that sponsored them for professional polo competitors. Exercise involved me mounted on one pony and leading 4 beside me. It was always a challenge as these were true athletes and full of beans. But if you like a fast and extremely versatile horse then polo ponies are for you. They call them ponies but we had one that was 16hh and 15 hh was the norm
We have had several trees blow down over the last year as well. Always something to clean up on a farm.
Awesome video, as always. You are very articulate and give so much detail when you are explaining things, It really is awesome! Thank you for sharing your world. See you in the next one.
That was a interesting afternoon here. Just outside of Light Street in Columbia County we had nickel sized hail for about 5 minutes, 1.29" of rain in 10 minutes with a peak wind of 54 mph. We were just on the western edge of the pink area that hit along Fowlersville Rd into Briar Creek Twnshp and the northern edge of Berwick.
Question for the Q&A: How early do you have to wake up, eat breakfast, and get ready to go do the horse chores in the AM?
Question: Who was first at the stable Gavin the horse or Gavin the standup comedian.
The horse 😁
Question...Who is the Star Wars fan?
All of us 😂
It was going to rain in the video, flies were biting and the horses switch their tails around. Yep a bigger rotary mower would be nice, this looks like a 5 foot. Might consider renting a little no till drill and add some Timothy in what you have, after you mow. With that many horses, ever drag the pastures with a harrow to break up the "fertilizer". Keep up the good work.
New Hollands are easy to maintain
Does Ebony do a running walk????
Yes
Always love your videos, so interesting and informative. thanks for sharing. Have you ever trained horses too? Gavin is a great help too. Does he live on a farm? Nice you work together 😊
Yes we have, and sometimes it does seem like he does 😂 but no.
Joel can the horses see out of the fly mask….just a ? From a city girl
Sure can! For you and I it's just like looking through a screen on a door or window.
What horse is the least problem, you wouldn’t even know He/She is there? Not only with attitude but upkeep all around. I’m going to say Sampson, he’s my favorite. The reason I’m asking this question is we might not notice a problematic horse. Watching and saying hi to Grammy, the Matriarch who seems to go unnoticed. Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸🦅
I find Jac to be routinely just an easy going and easy keeper year round 😁
How casino doing with the mouthpiece? Any improvements ??
Yes, just slow. But I'll take progress 😁
When are you going to learn ferrier service, Joel ?
Always picking up little things along the way 😁
Why was the light off in Diego's stall? 🤔
🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🐐🐐
Where did you get the fly mask that you put on sampson
Question for a video…
Do you give Gavin messages or edit instructions in the videos that get edited out?
-Melissa
Yes I do 😄
I really enjoyed this video. I find the horses more interesting than the farm machinery. The colours looked particularly vibrant. I always like watching the horses come in on their own. There was a little group of three confused horses who just gave up at one point! I’ve got a question. Why don’t all the horses need fly masks? Also since global warming is affecting the weather are you having more severe storms? I’m in the UK 🇬🇧We’re not getting a summer just rain rain and more rain
Some of the horses just aren't bothered by the flies as much. If that changes then they get a mask 😁
Is your Selfie Stick broken? Ir kept looking like we were fainting at the end there?? Duct Tape! LOL
Joel, with prime day coming up on the 16th & 17th, can you beef up your wish list? Have you thought about those LED lights that screw into the light sockets? They have been out a while and not sure if that would be brighter than the LED hanging lights? Just trying to figure out what you'd need to keep the stable running so smoothly. Also, can we add $$$ towards the hay barn? Greetings from Ann & Linda in Michigan
Is Casino losing weight? The horse with the muzzle.
Slowly but surely.
How often do you get to ride Obi? Do your families horses get worked on a regular basis?
ATM my dad's is being worked the most because of his weight problems. Obi is now retired from me. (I can go more in depth in a video should you prefer 😁)
Do the feeding buckets have the horses name on them? How do you know who’s is who once you leave the feeding area?
The grain is put in buckets in a certain order. And we follow that same order putting the grain in the stall.
Ok, so it looked like some of the horses that came in for afternoon feeding weren’t sure where they were going. Two horses went into the same stall that wasn’t theirs. They are most likely going right to the feed buckets getting mouthfuls of feed. This shorts the horse whose stall it really is, doesn’t it? Do you replace what the wrong horse(s) eat so that other horse gets it full share?
They took advantage of me Dealing with Danny on the other side of the barn. I had no idea this even happened until I looked at the footage 😅. Yes I do replace whatever was lost from the others staling the grain.
Does it get crowded at the stable if all the owners show up at the same time. Or are they assign different days.
When will you start building the Barn?
Soon 😉
@@A_Stable_Life yay!
When will Honey get to move back out to the field?
Once she's fully healed. Which will be a bit yet. Considering she's on the older side.
Do you check the use-by dates on Sunscreen or any of the Horse medical use products ?
Sure do!
What kind of horse is Sampson, I know you told me but I forgot oops!!
Belgian 😁
Is Gavin the horse named after Gavin ?
No just a coincidence 😁
Joel how old were you when you got Lelia
I believe I was 14
Why ichthammol
It's a very useful product that is very helpful with abscesses. Feel free to look it up 😁
Joel how do you decide which horse gets a fly mask?
The owners request them
Hello Joel , curious why does Honey get a bucket full of feed? Why does Casino have a cup over its mouth?
The grain is all based on need. Honey needs more grain. Casino is so overweight that we need to minimize his eating over night.
Do horses get pink eye
Yes they can.
that poor hourse didnt get to eat anything with 2 horse in the stall before they got to go in..tricky horses.. Do you replace the grain when others eat it first?
I believe they do fix it. I think he mentioned it in a previous video.
Exactly! 😁.
How come some horses don’t get a fly mask?
He only does what the owner asks of him
If we see a need for a fly mask we mention it to the client. We will even use one of our fly masks until they get one. Same for blankets. But it's mostly based on the horse and if they need one.
Joel I like how you carefully avoided badmouthing John Deere. XD For those not in the know, John Deere equipment isn't bought, it's rented/leased and the farmer isn't allowed to do repairs. New Holland equipment is owned by the farmer! That alone makes it superior. Not that I'm a farmer, I just know that second-hand.
You have never had a horse struck by lightening? Horses and cows get killed all them time by lightening, especially if they gather under a tree that might get hit by lightening. I don’t know about your protected hay feeder barn in your pasture. Is it grounded? Should it be? 🤷♀️
Not once 👍
So why is Suede still in a sheet ?
His client wants him to have it on. It's a fly sheet.
Ohh so frustrating as a quarter horse. Let us out 1st please. No need to go down the line. Let us out 1st!!
😂
Why do quarter horses and the “legends” need less daily care?
thoroughbreds are just high maintenance compared to the hardier quarter horses.
Well said 😁
Why is Diego’s stall dark?
Working on it, the light in there needs replacing.
Why do only certain horses get fly masks and others do not?
It's mostly based on need and if the client wants it on their horse.
@@A_Stable_Life thank you for the response.
Take down all of the trees and expand with hay barn and single run stalls outside on the over hang roof. Looks like they are all barely standing as it is. If possible hire a portable sawmill fan and cut lumber for your hay barn build. Greg Judy makes an atv round bale unroller and transport. Let the animals do the heavy lifting of haying and manure spreading. Also helps reseed hay fields, builds organic matter on high spots to fertilize downhill with every rain. Put that excess hay back into pasture improvement. Greg Judy regenerative grazer on utube is a pro. If you feed Timothy hay, you plant Timothy grass seed. Also bale graze to give 35 days or more rest in daily paddocks.
Wow a lot of tips there! Thank you for all the insight! 😁
Many horses need sunscreen on their white bits -- why doesn't Argento ??
If you look closely Argento has really dark skin minimizing his need for sun protection 😁
Bush hog along that fence line as you walked us in to see the horses out un field one.
Thank you for watching 😁
Do the families attend church on Sunday? If so, where do you attend?
