      I have a few more questions about your cart. How wide is your drive belt? You just sourced dodge 8m timing belt parts off ebay for the belt, and both pulleys? The one is that listing says its 30mm wide but your belt looks like 2". The final pulley looks to be taperlocked to the keyed cart axle?
      Isnt that a 48v motor? But your pack is 24s8p. 90v haha. I might do the same pack as you. But trying to pack more than 2kwh on a cart in a123 cells starts to get big and heavy fast.

    We are about to build one of these but ATV style! I am thinking about using the SAME Kelly Controller with Regen, and I want to use a belt drive system. I saw your other video where you made the belt system. Do you have any advice on the belt drive, where to get the parts for it? Also, have you figured out how to connect a speed meter and volt meter to the Kelly Controller? There are a lot of pin outs on that thing that might be useful. I was thinking I could interface an Arduino or circuit python board that drives larger 7 segment LED displays for amp draw, and volts and maybe some kind of batter level meter (that's a whole project for a different day). For speed, I could always just use a GPS meter. Does the Kelly Controller NOT have reverse or is that the limit of your motor? I'm not sure what motor that is just from looking at it.

    • @Kevin.OBrien44
      @Kevin.OBrien44  2 роки тому

      I got to a top speed of 50 mph on gearing that was too low, but i messed up some of the battery cells before i got to do a new test with better gearing. so all I know is that it could do like 0-40 in about 4 seconds. hopefully, I can get replacement cells and do a real test eventually.

    Omg are you serious??? This go kart would sell for over $8,000!!! You should be in business by now. Dude you could sell these for a minute then open up your own race tracks. I mean that's living!! your kids would be happy with your life too lol. I hope you still have this thing I'm sure with the right gears you could do over 100mph. Make another one do some more research so you can make one that out runs a 125 Shifter kart and you should be set. If you made that I bet you could sell it for over 20k
