Honestly for the life of me this is a weird thing in the black community, the older generation of men especially, love to make jokes at Asian men and Asian food. My dad, while he doesn't make jokes, was so confused when I said I'm attracted to Asian and white men, my mom knew and was fully supportive, my dad was just baffled but eventually gave his support. Honestly for the life of me this is a weird thing in the black community, the older generation of men especially, love to make jokes at Asian men and Asian food. My dad, while he doesn't make jokes, was so confused when I said I'm attracted to Asian and white men, my mom knew and was fully supportive, my dad was just baffled but eventually gave his support. Same thing with food, he will refuse to eat anything different @___@ while he will try it eventually the wall he has build up is so strange.
He literally loves anime, and loves Asian culture, hell he knows more about it then I do, and I have been to Japan and Korea. He is a master black belt in multiple styles of fighting, his biggest influence is Bruce Lee, so for my dad to be so obtuse about specific things makes me baffled haha.
