Greetings from Australia, I loved seeing how your dolls have evolved. I cut inserts out of plastic milk bottles (thoroughly washed of course) to put in the base of my dolls shoes. I aren't as lucky as you to have a handy hubby, so I make do and recycle.
I love your dolls! I have several WIPs going plus two temperature blankets for 2018, but as soon as I finish up with one project I think I will try making a doll. Thank you for the inspiration.

Anyone else with me on this one ? Dear Proper Pineapples, I've just finished reading some of the comments/questions/remarks in the comments' section, you know, out of healthy 😇 curiosity... And it BLEW MY MIND that some people have clearly NOT even bothered watching the entire video, otherwise some of the questions asked surely wouldn't even be posted. Either they do not listen to Holly, or they hear what they want to hear, but they certainly don't know this channel, nor what it's all about, because they ask many questions to which the answers are either given in already existing videos, or even in this very video ! But still, they comment on it, or even try to give Holly "helpful advice"....please ! I cannot wrap my head around it. I just can't....
I've made a couple dolls. I used cotton yarn too and it shapes better. I had problems with the neck too. I didn't give them hair just cuz I was in a hurry and was making a newborn. Your dolls are awesome. Took a break from making toys but seeing these makes me want to make some again.
I'm still fairly new to crochet but love the doll making I would love to get to that level but I love your channel your an amazing person keep up the great work
Love your dolls! I crochet a square, size depending on size; roll and sew up the edge. Insert it into the doll head and body. Wish I had those molds, I think it easier!!

I love your dolls. They are adorable. I use to make dolls when I was younger. I got the pattern from a magazine. They looked like the strawberry short came dolls. I lost the pattern and I am trying to remember how to make them again. Those dolls were knitted. I didn't know how to crochet at that time and I am still learning how to.

I know they are not as exciting, but I am sure my grandson would love a boy doll in a Halloween costume, or maybe a Santa Claus doll or a little boy in a bunny costume. Your dolls are amazing!!! You do such am amazing job!!! I have made two of the 'sleepy head' dolls from a YT tutorial for my niece's birthday. I made her twins, a boy and girl and she loved them. Everyone at the party loved them as well. I want to make her a doll similar to the type you make for Christmas to be a ' mini me' matching doll. I have two sons and no daughters, so I don't get to make as many dolls as I would like. My 3 year old wants me to make him a Jessie doll from Toy Story and I have the head finished. It came out really good. I used the Caron Simply Soft yarn for her hair and can vouch for what you said about how nice it works for hair!
