I do like Andrew's teaching overall. However, gambling is sinful. Why? Motivated by greed. Motivated by mammon. You cannot gamble and be unaffected. Gambling comes from a desire to get wealth for nothing. My biblical opinion.
Gambling is like many other things, it can become a sin but it is not sinful in itself. It's entertainment, and as is the case with most forms of entertainment, it usually costs you something. But hey, sometimes you win! Just don't let it get control of you. Kind of like alcohol.

Gambling to win is hard work almost no fun the odds are set up to run like Auto pilot in the houses favor. Is it ok if you are winning? If you have a gambling addiction your only hope of recovery as with all addictions is God and He may use a support group to do His work through. I haven’t gone in years wasn’t fun but when I was consistently winning for days in a row the Suits would come talk/interrogate me and they would make changes to tilt the odds even more in their favor. It also wasn’t fun when the expert players would critique my play and be jealous and verbally angry that I didn’t know what I was doing and was winning while they were losing my fault they were losing. Sometimes I would lead people to Jesus in public areas but your not allowed to talk about Jesus or religion at the Table. All in all there is a spiritual component of darkness there so I lost interest. Yes to guarantee winning is such hard work and not enough money to be worth it. The Suits ask questions and can ask you to leave if you consistently win! Loving myself I decided to stop I was free to go but wasn’t an uplifting way to spend my time.
