I am obsessed with this rendition of this song. Beatrice's performance of this song is unreal. I need the full version. I also really like her version of the best things in life are free. She's an amazing musical talent.

I don't think this look portrayed just nostalgia. For most of the season, Bert is portrayed as nothing but an old pervert. But as the season goes on, his character becomes much more nuanced. This look is extremely poignant, showcasing a glimmer of regret in Bert's eyes, probably for the way he treated his wife and women in general. Of course, his ways are set in stone and he'll probably never change, yet you sense that deep down, he wishes he took a different path, yet he'll never admit it to himself or others. It takes truly a masterful actor to portray all of this in a single look.

I think it’s obvious that tanya’s husband and the British guy know each other. He wants her money, he was on a phone call saying ‘she’s doesn’t know anything’, he was upset that her assistant came, then ditches her a couple days in. The British guy talking about how he was in love with some guy who’s a cowboy and how he’d do anything for him in the most sinister way also gave me chills and felt like foreshadowing, I’m curious to see how she reacts after she saw what she saw, like she’s portrayed as this idiot, but she has an ironclad pre nup (which I’m sure would be useless if she died), so she can’t be THAT naive. Also Cameron was saying about people in Europe having these huge homes and no cash? These guys are broke, Im very suspicious of them. Im not sure if Tanya is the one who dies though, probably her assistant, or even Audrey Plaza’s character. I’m obsessed with this show and im already excited about season 3. Mike white is a phenomenal writer.
And remember that the gipsy woman said to Tanya that her husband has someone really beautiful (someone obsessed with beauty) and is not her "for sure not you". And i'm really sure Greg was with them on Maui, do you remember he was on a vacation trip with only men friends and was already on Sicily when Tanya arrived? And i also believe that Albie's father raped her daughter.
Albie** (Adam DiMarco) Sorry me, my mistake. Bert (Di Grasso family) notes that "even the Greek goddess Demeter forgave Hades for raping and kidnapping her daughter, Persephone" and he adds "nothing of it is equal to what you did to your wife". It makes me believe that in fact Dom raped her daughter, and Bert mention the myth of persephone just because he don't know the truth of the problem.
You could be right, but I might throw wrench into that theory. In the opening scene of the series, Daphne says to the new guests, "WE leave today." To me, that means she's leaving with Cameron. Or she's psycho...and leaving with someone else, acting like the whole trip was hunky dory.
Do you think in the airport scene with Harper and Ethan and they reconciled their love I noticed her hand draped across her tummy it's a possible she conceived that night
I like the vibe of the visuals, but her voice is not that good. It’s a beautiful voice in her mid-range wheelhouse, but goes flat in the higher ranges.
I’ve heard another person say this but I happen to think it’s brilliant and beautiful. It sounds authentic. Just like some Italian girl sitting on an old stone wall swinging her bare legs, looking over the rolling hills at sunset and singing it to herself like it’s an ear worm. Are we seriously going to say dean martin did it better just because thats the version we’re used to? I hit replay twice at the end of this episode just to hear it.
@@kimhaas7586 you might have sold me just with that description! I respect that she sang it live and it wasn't edited in any way, I saw the actress saying how nervous she was and that Mike White wanted it to be raw. Her voice isn't totally my cup of tea but she did really well.

Absolutely! All the songs she sings on the show! ❤
The fact that Beatrice (Mia) sang this LIVE and gave such a stellar performance is mind blowing 😍

That’s Amore is a popular song in the U.S. from the 1960s, probably around when the grandfather was growing up

Like everyone, I LOVE Beatrice Grannó's version. It's ridiculous that none of her songs are on the soundtrack. I need it, too!
I need the full version, badly!

Yeah, and she was the person in episode 1 who swam out and found body parts. She's not so sweet imo. Hehehe.

This was the best show I've seen in such a long time. Plus it totally hit home for me 😅❤️
the camera work is incredible
I’m obsessed with her voice & version of this song ❤❤❤
I'd love a spin off of Mia and Lucia ... Just six episodes more.
This scene, the song, the drama made the white lotus perfect! Ngl
This show is fucking gorgeous this season is already better than season 1
Totally agree!!
No
It is soooo much better in every way
For real!! Much more magnetic, mysterious and sexy. Besides, there are more fun characters than season 1
It’s definitely better and I was a huge fan of season 1.
This series is a MASTERPIECE
I love the shot of the grandfather's head snapping towards the piano once he realizes the song and singer
Season 2 alone can have its own spin off.. maybe even a movie
the white lotus series is a drug to me
Stunning rendition of this song! 👏
Does Beatrice know how much we like her version of the song?? Because she should know.
Whole soundtrack is freakin' amazing! Multo bene!

LOVE THE SONG THAT'S AMORE.
Definetely better than season 1
oh shit rewatching this you can see cameron and harper having an undeniable attraction towards each other. they wanted to smash the entire time.
To me, it was Cameron forcing her to do something, but Harper just trying to awkwardly brush it off.
No way, she clearly hated him all throughout. I saw that look as her having inner motivations to cause drama and make Cameron suffer.
The ending makes me sad, I'm still shaking from the fact of the shooting on boat...
