Anytime! Honestly it's up to us to keep these parks clean, especially in the colder months so they don't become part of the environment after a rough winter.
@@dccoletrainseems simple to us but they realy struggling with af for so long times , and now need add some feature without broke it again already miracle😅
I was trying to get it to trigger the subject detect. It was in focus so long as the box was over them but what I'm a little lost at is if there's a human setting, what's the difference between that and regular AF-C? The train mode even being there is hilarious to me.
So you need to actually have the Seemo unit. It converts the HDMI signal to something the app can read and that's the whole setup. It's handy but I recommend folks keep their phone in airplane mode for anything more than a few minutes when it's warmer out because your phone will definitely overheat.
X-H2 user. I've been using bird AF for a couple of years now and never had an issue with it finding or locking on. thanks for all the hard work putting these videos together 🙂
Huh. XT5 user and there is constant problems with false positive bird green AF lock, and it actually focusing on a branch or grass or whatever is higher contrast. I went out earlier and tried to track squirrels unsuccessfully. Doesn't matter what AFC custom settings or focus mode. Who are you people that have zero problems with it? It's like I see videos from Edvard proving it's fucked, then people make comments like this gaslighting me
@@plagueofkoalas I’m just saying I am not having problems with AF. Puffins, cardinals, eagles, gymnastics, rugby, baseball, etc. I did just get the new firmware update so next time I am out shooting something fast perhaps I will see what all the AF issues are about.
Plenty of wildlife in NJ im in staten island and we have bald eagles, ospreys, seals and lots of others. The bird AF sucked the last few firmwares. It would have a hard time find and staying focused on birds flying. Hit rate would be sub 50% for photos and for video its horendous. We shall see if its better or at least back to the first firmware. Using single point for moving wildlife also isn't really what to use either.
It's as good as you'll get with no active wildlife. I might take a sports photo gig for the first time in years and really put it through its paces for a video at the same time. We'll see.
I'm using an Accsoon SeeMo, but this is the old one. It's pretty handy and the cheapest option for something like this on the market. Got a link in the video description if you want to buy one and make bezos kick me a few pennies.
You can limit the maximum in auto ISO. Any way with a max. aperture of 5.6 or 8 and with that level of luminosity and wanting a high shutter speed, you would have the same ISO in any other camera.
This is something of the lens, its quite dark and only usable for wildlife on that weather with a high ISO. If you want a brighter lens you would either have to buy the XF 500mm f/5.6 prime, or the XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 but loosing the internal zoom. For wildlife you might be better off with Sony or Nikon for their AF anyways so if you have not invested on Fuji you are still on time.
Did you actually watch the video? The AF-C issue is definitely fixed in photo mode. The rest is good and no different from my r5c. Video AF got better but is still behind Canon and Sony.
"I never had any AF issues, because I use single point" The first little more demanding situation "it's not picking up" Does MF adjustment because there's a little gras in the foreground, but to no avail. "I don't know if other manufacturers are really better there" Fujifilm community in a nutshell if you criticize AF when you shoot more demanding situations they never experience. At least the chapter is named accordingly.
You're taking my line for tracking people out of context and applying it to parts of the video I put in to clearly show where it fails. I do the same on my Canon RF cameras when I'm shooting commercially. I know people like to complain about things in the comments but cherry picking on this level is obnoxious.
It's so weird to me. Fuji would certainly see much more urgency to fix the AF if fuji disciples wouldn't all claim that the AF is great and it's the user's fault when it doesn't work. But that would require admitting that you invested a ton of money into a broken ecosystem. And that is probably the reason (perhaps in addition to Stockholm Syndrome) why very few Fuji users do so.
It's on part with with Canon for photos and better than Nikon for video after this update, but overall either Canon and especially Sony are still more accurate and that's why I shoot video with those for commercial stuff.
@@omarknowsphotos when was the last time you used a Nikon? video AF is definitely not better than Nikon let alone on par. My Zf has way better video AF than this at higher ISOs and the camera doesnt hunt this much. This firmware update and your test reminds me of my Expeed 6 (older Z) cameras. Subject detection happens and there is a lot of hunting.
@ I love Fuji but better than Nikon? I love your content man, and appreciate the passion, but have you even shot with the Z8, Z9, Z6III? Trust me, its not better than Nikon. Maybe their older DSLRs.
Thanks a thousands times for this mate! Also, props for helping the parks clean, you're a legend!

@omarknowsphotos great,keep doing
I confirmed CAF improvement yesterday, Sac National Wildlife Refuge. The AF, CAF, acquisition, tracking and staying locked on is like 1000% improved!!
Love to hear it! I shot another video and took some photos today and using it as a person would use it really made the improvements cut and dry.
Fuji really needs to add the option to have automatic subject detection. They have it on the X-S20 in Auto mode but it would be nice in all of them.
Totally agree. They can keep all the other options, but just have an auto up top. I wonder what the limitation is there.
@@omarknowsphotos seems like a simple firmware. Could add Waveform to all the newer cameras too.
Agree. And it needs to work in A/S/M modes too. Not just in auto.

What app are you using to record and monitor video on your phone?
The accsoon app but you need the Seemo device to use it
Hi Omar, what do you use to send the signal from the camera to the phone? Any device or just an app?
You need the accsoon seemo and the app to run this. It used to be kind of buggy but has been really good after their last update
