We want to acknowledge that we called Bens Original, Uncle Bens in this video. We understand the racist and problematic history of the branding and why it was changed. We did not use the old name intentionally and wholeheartedly agree with the decision to change the branding. Our use of the word was not an anti-woke statement but a mistake. We apologize for not being more aware and cognizant of our language and the harm this may have caused. We promise to pay more attention to our language.
I enjoyed your video, btw. By removing a black man, a black woman and an indian woman from products that have around years before wokesters were even born is in and of it racist. I believe that many of the people who complained about these products didn't allow them in their homes because seeing minorities on the packaging "offended" them. And not the correct kind of offense, either. But I'll bet they did go and buy them after the "offensive images" had been removed.🤦
@@Ciara1594 we appreciate that you enjoyed our video. We don't agree that this was woke nonsense though. Based on your response I don't think we will agree on this or change your mind. We don't plan to stop holding ourselves and society to higher social justice standards. We hope that you will consider looking at these issues with more curiosity instead of cynicism in the future.
