    You're truely a pro at what you do. You really should think of starting your own controller brand. You have so much experience in them and I think your Controllers would be superior in build quality etc. than any other brand I can imagine.

      Thank you. I'd be happy to consult and pass on knowledge, but to start to design and make from scratch no way.

    Oh Lord! Flooded with WD-40, Burnt plastics and botched Flex Cables. I'd say thats quite a full package. Brilliant work as always - I admire your patience and skill.

    Excellent work, buddy. Phone shops should stick to changing phone screens and batteries.... the amount of shocking workmanship from phone shops that I've had to then put right, as well as fixing the original fault, is scary! Great repair and video as always!
    Let it be a lesson to anybody who needs a repair, especially on something as expensive as a scuff controller or next gen (or are the current gen now?) console. Take it somewhere that specialises in this type of repair. Just because someone has a shop on the high street, doesn't mean that they are competent!

    Even with all the tools and experience this must have been a nightmare. I have never seen anyone use WD40 on a controller.

    How do you get around the fact you cannot calibrate some controllers once the sticks are changed, do you have to use the board to do manual adjustment?

    Just discovered your videos. Based on your experience with repairing these Controllers, can you recommend me a brand with good quality and longevity for ps5/pc pro controllers? Keep up the good work!

      Thanks. The biggest issue is stick drift. So based on that there is only one recommendation that's the DualSense Edge.

    I am wondering if we could ask your sponsor pcbway if they can build these kind of ribbons for us

      No nothing like this about. Not sure SCUF's legal team would like it either. 😂

      I have just thought of a different way of doing this, actually. Using a ribbon cable of the same width and pitch. Scrape the coating off the original in a straight line, cut new ribbon to length, and scrape the coating off of the cut end. Tin both sets of newly created pads, then line them up and apply heat to solder the new ribbon to the old. Once happy that it is correct, cut the old broken ribbon cable around a centimetre from the repair for strength.

      @@AMCTechRepairs Yeah I've spliced SCUF flex cables together before (several times for the PS4 controllers) Issue with this one is the pin pitch is a certain type. The pads are very dense. It's 8.5mm wide with a pin pitch of 0.3mm!

    WTF? Why WD40, did they mistake it for BW100. Iv only fixed a couple controllers and watch channels like this one but WD40 as never popped up.

    WD40??? Are they serious? Just use electronic contact cleaner or something. But the most optimal way is just replacing both analogs. It won’t take that much more time and won’t cost that much more money. Original analog is like 0,80$. Pisses me off people like that

      WD40 in controllers happens a lot more than you may think.

    • @Flowkeyz
      @Flowkeyz 2 місяці тому

      I think that there is a big misunderstanding. There were videos where they recommended contact spray FROM the brand WD40. And I think that started a series where people actually put in the real WD40 if that makes sense^^

      It makes me feel like somebody watched a video were a person used WD100 to clean stuff so sense they both come in identical cans and have D in the name its just as good. LOL
