Very nice fix! 👏🏻 could you please make a in depth video how to calibrate the new analogs to the 3% marge? Replacing them is good but the calibrating is where the magic happens. Love the content keep it up 👍🏻
Second this... Replaced my sticks but they're both off center. Seems to me he is twisting the brown bit that rotates the potentiometer? Not sure I am comfortable doing that, more info would be nice.
yes, it would not make sense to train everyone on how to do their business for free. if you need it done, they will want you to send it to them so they get paid
MS have added a stick calibration tool to the Xbox Accessories app which should make your life a bit easier. I think it's for insiders only at the moment though.
For users in the US who have independently replaced the circuit board on their Xbox Wireless Controller and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and who are in the "insider Program"
" Walks instead of runs" First time I heard someone say this. I had my L 3 drift stick fixed at urban integrity in Red Bluff and when I got home and tried it on Call of Duty, it would walk and not run. Unfortunately, when I called them, he said that he tested it. So je did offer me a 1/2. Refund I was more angry he didn't take a second look. I mean when you have the word integrity in your business tittle you would think but nope . It's just nice to know i'm not an idiot and other people suffer with this too.
Any other calibration method? Sometimes analogs become to loose (free play) when i calibrate like that. Maybe is better to use stick drift board for calibration new analogs, a little expensive fix for the customer but maybe much better, what you think 🙂
However, the principle of the stick drift board is to connect resistors in parallel, which will cause the output curve of the analog to be deformed. Before using the stick drift board, the output curve of the analog is roughly linear, but after parallel connection, a non-linear curve will be obtained, and it will cannot reach the maximum value before parallel connection,This will cause the outer ring to deform.
if i send a limited edition ps5 controller to a sony centre for drift issues (under warranty), is there a chance they might replace it with a normal white controller instead of fixing it?
A calibration board applies additional resistance, which lowers the maximum travel distance on the joystick (in games where the stick distance adjusts speed or distance traveled, you will receive a limited response. manually torquing the internal component calibrates the zero, and this gives you an official output
@@scottreidel5992 hi scott ... thought id ask if you know any calibration videos for the potentiometers as i cant see what he's twisting and bending when he opens them up..... it looks like hes bending the Arms that hold the White wipers but i dont know how that could be making a difference as that's the same as just moving the stick itself

yes i need that info also bit great fix there 😀

Unfortunately @UberMicroRepairs never replies to this question :(

he just bends the tips of the arms, i figured it out. @@scottreidel5992

Still using potentiometer based sticks for Dualsense controllers? Is there still no decent hall effect solution?
May I ask, how does the outer ring solve the problem of being fully filled? I didn't understand.
The Wizard back at it again
Quick question, what temperature and air level do you use on your heatstation when removing the stick from the motherboard? Thanks

Stick drift boards cost like $1 on AliExpress, not so expensive!
@@kavogaming5352 Yes, but you need to solder that board and configure all, so in that way a little more expensive on the end.

Why don’t you add a calibration board to control deadzone?
