I had two significant problems with the quality of the materials in this kit: 1. One of the jacknuts twisted radially instead of axially shrinking, which renders it useless for mounting the spoiler to the body of the CRV. It appears that the jacknut threads were galled or irregular. 2. The threadlocker material in the flange nuts to mount the high mount tail light cause the bolts to strip out the plastic in the high mount tail light. This prevents mounting the high mount tail light.
Can I please ask how to remove the interior panel of the tailgate itself? I accidentally dropped the connector to the license plate light in the hole from the outside and need to retrieve it... thanks!!!
Thanks for posting this video. It was really helpful. I do have have a few questions though. I noticed that when I mounted the high-mount brake light on the spoiler it doesn't seem to fit flush with the spoiler. There tends to be a gap on the top left and right sides of the high-mount brake light. Basically, the area on either side of the rubber gasket. Is that normal? I was thinking of sealing that area with clear caulk, but I wanted to check to make sure I didn't do something wrong before doing so. Also, my kit didn't come with a rubber plug for the high-mount brake light. Is that really needed? If so, where can I get one? Thanks!
@@CollegeHillsHondaAccessories No, it's a genuine Honda spoiler. Are you sure Honda didn't modify the high-mount brake light design? The back of mine versus some of the others I've seen is different?
@@idealynx The part didn't go through any updates to our knowledge. We actually had a customer car in the shop this morning that I looked at. I did not notice what you are describing.
I would like to install on of these spoiler on my CRV but it dose not looks OEM and dose not seems to goes well with the hatch. Why can they make a better fit or conform to the tailgate as with other SUV, like the HR-V etc...
I would never ever allow anyone to drill such holes in the body. It rips the heart off the chest when I see that drilling process. Rust will come out in 2-3 years

That would be an unfortunate yes however since it is a LED bar chances of that happening are pretty slim.

Hi, the LED in the spoiler went out. There is power getting to the led. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do . Thanks

What are the dimensions for the template? My Spoiler did not come with a paper template
Looks great but the process to install it take some time and you need some tools for the job..looks so complicated..

M6 jacknut. The templates only come with the new product. They are not offered separately.
