The old wire gate is called a Taranaki gate. Invented way back in the day in NZ. LOL. enjoying watching you get lost while I’m sipping on my whiskey on the rocks. 👍. Nice job.
Talk about bush bashing, I lost skin on that ride just watching lol… great viewing man. The wild dogs would have been hectic that night, good move leaving that camp for sure they can be fckers in a pack. I know the wire gates as “Cockies Gate” Just a quick easy way to make a gateway. Get yaself some ROK straps for holding ya luggage on , they work really well and take all the wobble out of the bags. They are a cam lock but with elastic built in a bit like an ocky strap , but pull down tight as fck. I look forward to your Cape York ride vids coming up. Cheers for sharing 🍻🍻

Mate, quick one. Not an Aussie but hoping to come that way to do a long enduro cross country. Friends who live there tell me it's awfully dangerous roads in Aussie for bikers. With lots of fatalities on road. Primarily accidents involving a second vehicle. Is this the cae? Or has it got more to do with daft riding by a selected few folks that get them into trouble?

@coobye yeah mate so they came in after dark, I could hear them get closer and closer. I've thought about it to and I've got a big knife I thought I would protect myself with🤣🤣 when I heard them surrounding me I shit myself, got my riding gear on straight away then packed up camp. I don't know much about wild dogs but I imagine most of them are lost hunting dogs that ain't scared of anything and if they're hungry they're guna eat so I just got outa there just incase. I got told that the air horn in a can will get rid of them.

When people ask me if I worry about camping solo I used to tell them nah, there's nothing in Australia that's going to hurt you but I'm starting to change my attitude a bit now. I'm not going to say what the other thing I've seen because people laugh at you but a mate's mate spotted the same critter 10kms further south from where I saw it down here in the Illawarra. I never even mentioned it to him, he just brought it up randomly. Roz Veersma ( UA-cam ) has seen the same thing.

Mate I can't rave about this bike enough, I love it, 18,000k,s atm. Had a few little electrical issues at the start and I recently had swinging arm bolts coming loose but other than that great bike👌👌
@@gruntkunt good to hear mate ya having a good run with her 👍 KTM have it nailed for when the hooligan comes out in us hey the chassis an motor comes into their own the harder you feed em on, had a good run with my old 1090r 25k of mainly mountain tracks snapped the left foot peg off after landing from a spoony 'think a few of the bolts might been tad loose tho' plenty good adventures on her, me dad's 83 an still riding a 790duke is a hoot on the twistys, watched your Simpson vid top notch keep on keeping on cobber cheers 👍👍
Any low quality rack with sharp edges will cut your luggage straps. Get a quality rack like Perun Moto as they pay attention and chamfer the sharp edges exactly for that purpose 👍
