For you to tell such a blatant lie, I can only assume that you did not watch the video of Ashleigh Babbit being shot. She was shot while literally forcing her way into the House Chamber by climbing through the smashed glass in a barricaded double door into the Speaker's Lobby. The police officer who shot her was clearly armed, his gun pointing at her, and she was repeatedly told to get back but ignored his orders. The officer shot her in the left shoulder because she left him no other option.
Furthermore, she was not the ONLY person killed as a consequence of the January 6 insurrection. at least 2 other Trump supporters died that day for various other reasons.
At least five police officers died as a direct consequence of working at the Capitol during the January 6 riot, including four officers who committed suicide shortly after their experience. And about 140 police officers were injured.

Watching this in August 2023, it brings to mind what's happening now in 3rd World countries like Haiti and Niger. Men who unified military and violent forces to either maintain or overthrow an established leadership. And this was actually tried here, In America, albeit (luckily) a rather meager attempt. Very scarey.
It terrifies me of what could happen if Trump would win the upcoming election. It was unbelievable how Hitler found all those people to follow him and what became of it. This is how it happened!
Meager in a way, but the amount of effort they ALL went through to put something together with this effect was extensive, and proved that there was nothing "innocent" about it. Trump can't plead insanity on this, I hope. I think this judge will not let that happen and can't be bought off or intimidated. Same with Jack Smith. Trump is emotionally disturbed for sure, but he chose an evil path knowingly. I think his insanity lies in the fact that he cannot allow himself to be "wrong" under any conditions and therefore cannot make the changes in himself that need to happen. Sad, but also dangerous.
Two things worry me more than just Trump himself -- the batholith of hate and disrespect for law that exists among Americans who consider themselves to be "good" people, and the blueprint they worked out for how to destroy our legal and governmental system in some ways that could trigger a collapse of government if it occurs again. One thing I saw early was that he was gutting our legal infrastructure, very likely with this end in mind. He "justifies" it by calling it "the deep state." One commenter (I don't remember who) said that "the coup is ongoing." It is not over.
Changes in our laws in response to this need to occur, including the Supreme Court. That means that we need to elect massively larger numbers of Democrats or non-democrats who actively work for strengthening our system and on the local levels as well as state and national. Our system is good, but we need to protect and revise it.
