Really helpful video. My front door Yale YS170 - 17 lock played up this morning, hence this UA-cam search!! The problem related to the spring loaded catch which goes in and out when the handle is turned. Except mine had stuck in the 'in' position. Next to this catch is a small plastic piece which can be seen on this video at 3.15 - 18 (coloured blue on this one). It slides up and down and when in the up position it prevents the spring loaded catch from coming out. I've no idea what the purpose of this piece is or why you'd want to slide it, but somehow it had slid on its own. It's something I need to investigate to ensure it doesn't keep happening. Can anyone explain its purpose please?
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Most helpful, thank you.
