I know this is uncool academically Tara but you really are a wonderful person. When you state how difficult matters are for you it is so comforting as so many profs hide behind the writing process and then the labour I invest seems ridiculous and it affects self confidence etc. thank you

If I had a PhD supervisor like you or if I had met anyone like you through my academic career, I would have been a completely different person and academic. Horror stories about my supervisor (I did - and miraculously survived - my PhD in a top-tier Russel Group university in the UK) could make an interesting vlog in your awesome series..!! I am like this from past 15 days and everyday I hardly write one paragraph. Many times I just sit looking at monitor or thinking about how to structure. That is so me @10:30. I've been reading and writing for almost a whole year, and I feel I haven't got anything permanent on paper. I keep reading same literature, deleting my notes or starting new documents. I still don't know how to construct my literature review/theoretical framework and therefore can't write a convincing research grant proposal. :((
