Another What I eat in a day back by popular demand!
This is my usual summer eating habits that give me enough energy and nutrients to battle the day :) in winter time I usually eat more and heavier foods to keep the energy going. This is what works for ME and I'm sharing this to inspire you and give you a glimpse of my diet. Please remember that every body is different and there are so many factors to figure out what your body needs: activity levels, seasons, body frame, any health goals or restrictions.
I always talk about how probiotics are an important part of your diet if it from supplement or food source (kefir, saurkraut, kambucha).
If you want to use it for maintenance start with 5-10billion count and if you battle with any of the mentioned symptoms take the 25-50billion count.

Recipes:
Morning Coffee Smoothie:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 pitted dates
1/2 frozen banana
1 tsp coffee beans/ espresso shot
1 tsp maca powder
Ice
Avocado toast:
Toasted rye bread
1/3-1/2 avocado, mashed on toast
drizzle some lemon juice
sea salt
1 tomato
chilli flakes, sesame oil- optional
The green goddess dressing (found on Pinterest)
INGREDIENTS
1 avocado
1 cup packed parsley
2 cloves garlic
juice of one lime /lemon
½ cup water
2 TBS olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ cup pistachios -you can sub other nuts
INSTRUCTIONS
Pulse all ingredients - except pistachios - in a food processor until incorporated.
Add pistachios and pulse until mostly smooth (depends on what consistency you want).
Serve as a dip, spread, or sauce
Tip: add additional water or oil to thin the sauce for use as a dressing or a marinade.
Arugula power salad:
Arugula
1 cup canned chickpeas
cucumber
-Can add any other veggies you like
Green goddess dressing! DONE
Kefir berry snack:
1 cup of kefir
top with berries, nuts, seeds
Rice & beans bowl dinner:
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
1 cup brown rice
2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon cumin
15 ounces canned seasoned black beans, drained and rinsed
sea salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
I made my brown rice in the chicken broth separately but here's another version for a one pot recipe.
In a medium saucepan, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, and sauté 3 minutes, until onion is tender and starting to brown. Add garlic, and sauté one minute longer. Add uncooked rice, and stir and sauté 2 minutes.
Add broth, salt, and cumin. Stir together, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 20 minutes.
Remove lid, stir in beans, and cover again. Turn off heat, and let stand for 3 minutes before serving. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Top with fresh cut lettuce, guacamole / green goddess dressing!
Dessert:
Peppermint tea to aid digestion
1 date with almond butter for a caramel treat

Wow Valeria I would never survive with such little food! I'd love to see how you put together a meal for your family. I can imagine you cook separately for your kids
the difference is if I ate that date with butter, I wouldn't stop with one date. I'd eat it all. Same with avocado on the bread.

I think you should keep in mind that Valeria is a model, after all.. I think you can get away with eating a bit more (volume) and maybe less "clean" :) But it's a great video for inspiration
I love your food videos. I eat pretty much the same way, right down to the warm lemon water in the morning, so I appreciate seeing your recipes and hearing your advice.
My favorite salad dressing lately is one I make myself. It is just a tablespoon of hummus mixed with a tiny bit of olive oil and apple cider vinegar. I only add about a half teaspoon of the oil and acv, so it stays very thick and gives it a ranch dressing consistency.
And my favorite midnight snack is decaf green tea and a piece of 100% raw cacao chocolate. Yum (:

When i wake up, usually i don't feel hungry, thanks to her i started to drink warm lemon water every morning and it helps me feel hungry and eat breakfast..

I'm with you on probiotics, they help with everything! I'm pregnant right now and they're the only thing keeping my digestive system feeling relatively normal!
I wanted to share my story and give a huge shout out to probiotics! I suffered from stomach issues for years. My Dr. Prescriped me a PPI in 2011 (basically a medicine that prevents your stomach from creating acid, usually for people which avid reflux) and my stomach pain was gone for years, but I still suffered from constipation. This last spring my PPI stopped working and I was in so much pain I was sent to a gastrologist. He basically told me that he couldn't find anything wrong but I should switch to a high fiber diet to combat my constipation, and to try taking my PPI less because he didn't think it made sense for me, who didn't have acid reflux to take it. I liked his recommendation...but this didn't help the pain. After watching one of your other nutrition videos where you recommended hyperbiotics I decided to give it a go. I took 3 a day for about a month, after about 3 weeks I started to really notice a difference! I've been taking 2 a day for about 3 months now and am completely off my PPI! I have rare stomach pain, my skin is clearer, I sleep harder at night, I over all just feel better! And my high fiber diet has helped me stay more regular and stay thin. THANK YOU SO MUCH VALERIA. you honestly changed my life. I recommend probiotic to everyone! 💖😘🌟

I so wish I could be full on these UA-cam/Instagram fashion diets. Most are also plant based which doesn't make it easier to get properly satisfied. Ive tried quite a few channels where I did their diets for a week but my body never got used to it, and I end up - every single time - with being extremely hungry, getting quick low blood sugars and crave sweets and salty food. Ive tried most diets from the standpoint of becoming more healthy and lose weight and I have - no joke - put on more weight because of the backlash of these fashionable low-calorie diets than I would do on my regular diet. It sadly works sort of backwards because I get so hungry from eating so extremely little. I wish I was born with a tiny stomach that got full longterm on lettuce.

Iloveyourvideos!!!! By the way, just curious why you are cutting the lemons that way? I think it would be easier to cut it the other way, it is easier to squeeze. :)
Lemons are not that popular in my country so I am using Calamansi instead. it's small, smaller than eggs so I use 6 or 8 calamansi (others use 28 calamansi), squeeze it and take it 1st thing in the morning. 100% pure calamansi juice. After drinking, I need to wait for an hour before taking anything. We called it the "Morning Power Drink." It can boost your immune system and it can help with weight loss, etc.
I will definitely try some of your recipes and I'll try to eat a small portion as I can. ;)

Dont listen people who says that lemon is acid because it's not true even if it tastes acid it's not acid in the body, it's alkaline and it helps the body the eliminate acidity :) so you're doing good! just use lukewarm water so you don't destroy the vitamins in it ;)

I love this, I will definitely copy some of your ideas! I just have a question though because it looks like you're only making around 1 portion, what sorts of meals do your boys eat? Would they eat the same as you or different?

My husband eats the same the kids are a little more simple to feed just because they like simple food so we rotate same things over and over again. Chicken soup, cucumber and tomato salad with olive oil and squeeze of lemon, home made grilled cheese, mac n cheese, fried rice with egg, buckwheat, chicken nuggets, pasta. Kids foods :/
When did you eat the probiotics? Is it just a supplement you drink? I have an unrelated question too. What do you think about face yoga/facial exercises? I love maca powder too!
I take my probiotics in the morning. Its pills.
