I made the lps german inspired shepherd model near the start of the video. I made it a long time ago which is why it isn't super accurate to the original figure (because I wasn't too good lol) I'm still experimenting with 3D printed LPS style figures but I just do weird animals now. If I ever get super good at replicating the style of these I'd like to start creating replicas of real lps for people to be able to print and use
Oh wow that’s so awesome!!! And also really cool that you found this video. Even though it is at accurate to an LPS I think it looks like a super well made and adorable model :D
These look so amazing! I feel like the head shape could be used for a younger character since they are more round Theyre super cute, and as always your painting looks so good!
Oh wow! i’ve always thought that 3d printers were cool, I never even thought about the fact you could use them to help with LPS customizing!! People sculpting their own lps models is super sick! I’m excited to see what you’ll be able to do with this in the future ^^
Ahh ikr it’s so exciting!! Some day I’d love to invest in a resin printer too, but those are also just a lot more work/ maintenance in general. Currently, tho, I’m working into modifying this great Dane model into my own creation!! I’m trying to make some sort of demon dog
If you can figure out how to make neck plugs you could also just make molds of your fake lps, or real ones once you’re practiced, and than fill them with resin or sculpy. I saw a 3d model of an lps neck plug on Thingiverse, but it didn’t come with the middle peg, or the spring. (but I hope you’d be able to cut a spring from an old pen and use that)
my dad has a 3D printer and he’s printed some lps models he found for me aswell!! he printed a really big rainbow jack russel lps, it’s super cool! 3D printed lps is a really cool concept and i think u should make some to paint and sell! also, a little side note, at 4:00 that great dane is actually also a fake!! you can tell by the non glossy eyes and the strange head shape where the cheeks seem to be dragging down a bit,,, just thought i’d let u know loved the new editing style for this video too btw!!
I got a 3D printer for Christmas two years ago and me and my dad have been using it to print pvz characters. I guess this would be a good idea for us to do when we run out of characters to print.
Thank you so much!! I got some really cool new 3D printer filament that is color changing so im def gonna make a bunch of LPS with that. I think it would make so super super cool customs
you did a pretty good job on the great dane, he looks adorable TwT i love 3d printing stuff so much :'3, hope people make more lps stuff and probably make their heads bobble, i would really like to see more fluffy pets, or probably more types of dragons ahh Dx
This was so unique and such a cool video to watch. People are getting so creative with how they make customs now days! Love how they turned out you did a wonderful job
Ahhhh I love your voice so much it’s so pretty!!🥺♥️♥️ It’s so fun to imagine that we will be able to 3D print our own Lps with high quality in the future💕💕 hopefully we’ll find a way to give them bobble heads in some way since that’s a thing that makes Lps so appealing to me
This is so cool!! I'm also experimenting with 3D printing LPS, I'm working on some original models and once I perfect them I'll post them to Thingiverse! If you want your 3D printed LPS to be heavier, you could crank up the infill in the body to 100%, which would also help with the structural integrity.
personally fill in the seamlines with liquid green stuff, you still have to sand it but its like a filler, I have a resin printer tho so my seam lines are not as noticeable to begin with
Oh sweet, I never knew they made liquid green stuff. I’ve just been using super glue to fill the cracks/ print lines but it’s still not the best. I’ll def look into that
Woww, this is so cool! The body of the printed model looks really accurate to an actual lps, and the head also looks pretty similar. Also, I just wanted to mention, your authentic great dane that you used for comparison is fake, I'm not trying to be rude as there's nothing wrong with fake lps, just wanted to let you know for future reference :)
This is super cool!! There so many possibilies with 3D printing, I love seeing all the innovation and cool things that are being done with LPS customs now :) It's also great that you can still make use of leftover heads by printing more bodies (that sounds weird haha 😳😂) When I get better at 3D modeling I'll have to make you something :D
my partner has a 3d printer and we've recently tried printing out a cute LPS inspired dragon, but even after sanding im struggling to paint it well. its almost like the paint won't stick! im not entirely sure if you're using a different kind of filament or if my technique is just wrong 🤔 im gonna be continuing to experiment, but if there was any way to make a video about painting 3d printed models specifically and going into how that all works, that'd be so so so helpful
Hmm weird, I’m not sure why that would happen because you should be able to get paint on any surface after getting down a dry brush later to help it stick. It would be that you’re not letting it try completely between takes, or just your type of paint in general? If you still can’t figure out what to do, I suggest spray painting it with a primer
Huh, I wonder how the status of LPS models have changed in the past year...? I've been considering doing a video that's a "how to" on replicating old toys and I even got my childhood LPS from my sister as references. So I've been looking into LPS and found your channel. It looks like the replica great dane, besides having a smaller muzzle, is missing the cute lil wrinkles on its forehead too. It's often the subtle details you can't see from directly in front / directly in profile that get missed. (Not that that falls on you, and I think the sculptor did a good job- it looks like they don't do LPS normally as well) There are apps you can get on your phone that will scan 3D objects, although I think you need a bit of modeling knowledge to fix up the models usually before printing.

What do you do when the lps neck is rusting like the spring thing inside the head is rusting
You can remove the whole neck plug and replace it with one from another LPS!
