    What I like is that you’ve just shown that with limited tools you can build a Bandsaw style box. I also like the editing as always.

    • @PaskMakes
      @PaskMakes  5 років тому +3

      I tried to keep it limited. I would've normally cut the tapers like that with the bandsaw but that would've ruined the title! Like you said though, it's good to show that basic tools can still do the job! :)

    Interesting project and beautiful result. Now, you mentioned you'd have to be careful not to drill too deep because of the point on the Forstner bit, so here's a tip for you - buy an end mill bit, they don't have that center point, and as you clearly have a drill press, you won't have any trouble with the bit wandering.

    I thank you very much for sharing this project with us I had forgotten how much fun it was to pick up the scrap out of the shop at make projects I made my way I've made my daily bread working wood for many years but I have not worked in it for sometime as a result of having to have multiple surgeries you inspire me I'm going to try again to return to my great passion working in Wood again thank you thank you sir

    A possibly helpful tip for y’all: When gluing flat pieces together a sprinkle of coarse table-salt onto the glue before clamping will hold the pieces square with each other to facilitate easier clamping. Try it, it really does work😀... uncle Fudd

    Since I'm a year past the original posting date, It's hard to say if Pask will notice this, but I have a suggestion for an alternate use of this design that includes a mechanism design challenge. The idea is simple. Instead of a drawer, there would be a clock mounted on the backside of the face. By pushing the button, the face would rotate to reveal the clockface and rotate back when the button was released. Maybe call it The Stop-Watcher: an anti-clock-watching-clock. B-)
