You’ve covered all the key routes in such detail, and the tips you shared will definitely make the drive smoother for anyone planning the trip. The scenic views, the pit stops, and the driving conditions-everything was explained so well. I love how you also highlighted the best roads for a smooth and enjoyable experience.

@Travidiction yes nice, i don't do blogs but i love road trips , trekking with my family, since i spent most of my life at sea on oil&gas fields , its nice to explore, i have explored some beautiful places around Kazakhstan, Russia, Gyyana, may 30th i return from offshore and 3rd june will drive mumbai Ratnagiri, Palolem, this time i want to try fishing at coasts of konkan.
I have stopped taking the Ajra-Amboli Road couple of years back and switched to this route. You will always find the road quality at its best right till Oni where it merges with Old Mumbai-Goa Highway. Travelled few days back also, road is in superb condition
Same here. Last year during monsoon I went to Amboli just for the waterfall!! Otherwise that road has lost charm due to construction in both Kolhapur highway and Ajara !! Even I travelled on 18-20 May long weekend. While going we took the newly opened Kashedi tunnel which was a good addition to old highway!!

Starting at 8 is fine, but you will be late in entering Goa; with lunch breaks and tea breaks, you should hit the Goa border by 7 - 7.30 pm but all depends on traffic on that particular day. Alternatively, if you are planning to stay in South Goa, you may take other route - Mumbai - Pune - kolhapur - Belgaum, Anmod, Goa. In this route, you will have to pass by certain under construction patch in the "Bhagwan Mahavir Das sanctuary" area and must note the sanctuary part is closed between 6 Pm and 6 am. Will be leaving from Mumbai at 3 am. Thank you very much and keep making such good videos. More power to you.
Thanks a lot for the compliments.. unfortunately the road which I have showed here has developed certain issues in recent times - Karad patch is under construction and you have to take lots of diversions !! Alternatively, you can now follow - Mumbai - Pune expressway - Khopoli Exit - Pali - NH66 - Here Google map will show you left diversion from Sangameshwar.. just ignore and continue straight in NH66 till Goa !! It will also have some bad patches but overall it will be good experience
Thanks for the compliments!! We found this route to be safe as we returned via same route in night and there were absolutely no issues of anti social elements etc !! However, you need to drive carefully as the roads are narrow and consist of multiple twists and turns!! Have a safe trip !!
Take a good sleep and donst Stretch... Baaki to any car and driver can go anywhere!! Please get the car basics checked Engine oil, air pressure etc before the trip !! And if not comfortable, avoid late evening drive. This video was shot quite sometime back... In this route you may face construction after pune to- Karad patch Alternatively you may try - Mumbai - Pune Expressway - Khopoli Exit - Pali - NH66 - Goa You will face some construction patches but still it is a scenic route to grove a try
The Anuskura Ghat part is still most scenic. However the construction intensity has increased in Pune - Karad patch !! Plus you need to pay tolls for those. So alternatively you can explore - Mumbai - Pune expressway - Khopoli Exit - Pali - NH66 - Goa (ensure to continue in NH66 completely; Google map tend to push you to other road from Sangameshwar but ensure to skip and continue in NH66) There also you will have certain bad patches but at least you don't need to pay toll on that
Hi I am Nimesh from Vapi Gujarat(Nr.Daman). I was searching for a blog made by someone going Goa from Mumbai by road. So got your video which was showing the latest. Now we few friends planning our first road trip to Goa from Vapi. So can you suggest what time we should leave to cross Mumbai and lonavala traffic and also which highway should we take. Both going and returning. We want to see the nature beauty of Konan or we should not. Like your video very much keep up the good work.👍
Hi Nimesh ji, thank you for the compliments and all the best for your trip. I know well about Vapi, been to daman multiple times, once i remember of taking train till Vapi followed by cab. Coming to your trip, plan for Vapi to Goa - 1. Avoid starting Saturday, instead Thursday / Friday will have leaner traffic 2. Start in a way, that you cross Lonavala early, crossing latest by 6 am will have low congestion compared to 8 am and later 3. Keep and eye on Google map, if you watch our video of Mumbai to Goa via Anushkara (2 videos back) - We have taken exit from Expressway (from Khopoli Exit) to take old pune highway to save some time 4. Konkan is scenic but the patch of Mumbai Goa Highway (NH66) is not in good shape from Pen to Mangaon - So, we preferred to take Anushkura to enter NH66 near Oni Note - Anushkura is scenic, roads are good but narrow. Anyone with motion sickness may face inconvenience. All the best
There are majorly 2 routes to South Goa from Mumbai - 1. Mumbai - Pune - Belgaum - Chorla Ghat - south Goa 2. Mumbai - Pune - Belgaum - bhagwan mahavir das sanctuary - Anmod Ghat - South Goa If you are travelling in night then you are left only with option 1 (Chorla Ghat). As the option 2 (Sanctuary part) is closed from 6 Pm to 6 am Now, the sanctuary part of the road is in bad shape but rest of the part is good. So I recommend to take Anmod ghat if it is during the day time and sacrifice the bad patch of Ghat - As you will same at least 30-40 min in this route. You will get videos of both Chorla Ghat and Anmod ghat in my channel , you may additionally watch them to plan it better !!
I am sure, I have mentioned the toll in the video with details of Toll gate by end of video. You can deduct Talegaon & Khalapur tolls, rest are common. Should be less than 300
You have to start with NH48 and then move to NH66; taking diversion from Karad and pass through Malkapur, Anuskura ghat, Panchal and hit NH66 at Oni. Refer location pins in description
Check Google map for current traffic conditions till Pune. For us taking the Khopoli exit was an advantage, you can take that exit and enter back after Lonavala of expressway reflect heavy traffic. We took a wrong diversion from the old highway and hut expressway before lonavala, so had to face this traffic!!
Thane - Expressway - Pune - kolhapur - belgaum - Anmod ghat - South Goa. You have to face some road work across the kolhapur highway and inside bhagwan mahavir das sanctuary (after belgaum). Note - Sanctuary part is open only from 6 am to 6 pm. So, plan accordingly
2 different mics were used in this video 1. In the night part, we used Grenaro dual channel wireless mic - This we attached to i phone 2. When we shifted to go Pro, we used the basic Boya dual channel lavelier mic !!
@@joediniz2581 for South side Anmod should be the fastest. There was some construction going on on the sanctuary part for a stretch of 8-10 km. Hope that is over now, but not sure. Another route is Chorla, last I travelled approx year back in Chorla, roads had developed pot holes !! In my opinion take Anmod and manage the patch of bad roads to reach fastest !

Although, the NH 17 (ground level NH 66) was always the Panvel-Cochin-Kanyakumari road, it was and will always be the dedicated Bombay to Goa highway. At one time, it was probably the most challenging 9-10 hour drive. It was also the most dangerous with village toyota qualises speeding up ghats on the wrong side overtaking around blind turns. An exhilarating road with few dull moments. NH 66, which was originally to be commissioned in 2016, got delayed by nearly 10 years. Tunnels were dug through mountains to avoid steep ghat sections. But there will always be some curves and Nittin Gadkari's claim to be able to reach Goa from Mumbai in 6 hours by NH 66, is grossly inaccurate.
I was at Goa for 2 years. Remember 2012 days, when I used to travel regularly in this road in Volvos. But with time, even the route of Volvos changed from NH17 to Kolhapur highway!! Lots of Qualises / buses used to fly in this road 😊 Agree the road is challenging but at the same time beautiful!! 6 hours can never be attained with four laning of this road. However, the separate project of Costal expressway can make that true. But not sure that may take another decade.to complete!!! Planning to do a full course of this road in near future!!
Just travelled by this road to Malvan. Not a single shop, petrol pump, washroom along the route. Worst option amongst the four routes available. Do not go if you have motion sickness.
Everyone has perspective!! This is drivers road and yes following complete Google map is strict no for this route. Hope you took the diversions we took !! There is a HP petrol pump after crossing the ghat, and few restaurants around Malkapur, 9?3 needs to plan it well !! I did speak about the motion sickness and stop details. You can watch the complete video for details !!

one of my fav ghats i have taken while going to konkan .nice vlog love u both . Do NH66 mumbai to goa route once its also good till mangaon then take right and go from nizampur pali khopaoli old mumbai pune highway this has good roads
We loved Anishkara too !!
Thank you!!
This route is around 40 km more than other goa route. However will reach on same time. Awesome route for goa specially monsoon end time
Yes, but the Mumbai Goa highway has bad patches but we have the advantage of no toll. Will cover that in my NH66 drive !! Hoping to make that soon !!

Amazing video. I will be driving Mumbai to Goa Where next week, wanted to know (a) which route to follow and can I just follow Google Map for the route; (b) where to take lunch and tea breaks? Will be leaving from Mumbai at 3 am. Thank you very much and keep making such good videos. More power to you.
Thanks a lot for the compliments.. unfortunately the road which I have showed here has developed certain issues in recent times - Karad patch is under construction and you have to take lots of diversions !!
Alternatively, you can now follow -
Mumbai - Pune expressway - Khopoli Exit - Pali - NH66 - Here Google map will show you left diversion from Sangameshwar.. just ignore and continue straight in NH66 till Goa !!
It will also have some bad patches but overall it will be good experience
I really liked your video. The way you guys have explained really well. Also let me know hows this route from safety point of view.

In this route you may face construction after pune to- Karad patch
Alternatively you may try -
Mumbai - Pune Expressway - Khopoli Exit - Pali - NH66 - Goa
You will face some construction patches but still it is a scenic route to grove a try
Glad you liked it! Great video as usual 👍🏻
Thank you for the suggestion!! In return we had dinner at Humberban !!
@@Travidiction oh nice! How was the food at Humberban?
@@100rabhpradhan It was good too !!
Hi, is the route in the description still useful as its been 8 months or there is other route now which is more better?
The Anuskura Ghat part is still most scenic. However the construction intensity has increased in Pune - Karad patch !! Plus you need to pay tolls for those.
So alternatively you can explore -
Mumbai - Pune expressway - Khopoli Exit - Pali - NH66 - Goa (ensure to continue in NH66 completely; Google map tend to push you to other road from Sangameshwar but ensure to skip and continue in NH66)
There also you will have certain bad patches but at least you don't need to pay toll on that
Hi I am Nimesh from Vapi Gujarat(Nr.Daman).
Coming to your trip, plan for Vapi to Goa -
1. Avoid starting Saturday, instead Thursday / Friday will have leaner traffic
2. Start in a way, that you cross Lonavala early, crossing latest by 6 am will have low congestion compared to 8 am and later
3. Keep and eye on Google map, if you watch our video of Mumbai to Goa via Anushkara (2 videos back) - We have taken exit from Expressway (from Khopoli Exit) to take old pune highway to save some time
4. Konkan is scenic but the patch of Mumbai Goa Highway (NH66) is not in good shape from Pen to Mangaon - So, we preferred to take Anushkura to enter NH66 near Oni
Note - Anushkura is scenic, roads are good but narrow. Anyone with motion sickness may face inconvenience.
All the best
@@Travidiction thankyou very much for your wishes and guidance.

Which road is best for south goa from mumbai? please suggest
There are majorly 2 routes to South Goa from Mumbai -
1. Mumbai - Pune - Belgaum - Chorla Ghat - south Goa
2. Mumbai - Pune - Belgaum - bhagwan mahavir das sanctuary - Anmod Ghat - South Goa
If you are travelling in night then you are left only with option 1 (Chorla Ghat). As the option 2 (Sanctuary part) is closed from 6 Pm to 6 am
Now, the sanctuary part of the road is in bad shape but rest of the part is good. So I recommend to take Anmod ghat if it is during the day time and sacrifice the bad patch of Ghat - As you will same at least 30-40 min in this route.
You will get videos of both Chorla Ghat and Anmod ghat in my channel , you may additionally watch them to plan it better !!
Best road to Goa: Mumbai - Pune - Satara - Kolhapur - Nipani - Uttur - Ajra - Sawantwadi - Goa
That could be fastest, provided the aajara link road and amboli construction ends !!
@@Travidiction yea actually!
@@Travidiction road is smooth till ajra amboli road after that there are potholes otherwise its easy route for all type of drivers to drive car
@@Kaushik712 yes, that's true. Even I used to take Amboli route for North earlier. This is the first time I took Anushkura !!
@@Travidiction this route is for drivers!! Nice vlog
Hello Sir what were the approx toll charges paid for one way from Pune via this route which you followed
I am sure, I have mentioned the toll in the video with details of Toll gate by end of video.
You can deduct Talegaon & Khalapur tolls, rest are common. Should be less than 300
@@Travidiction yes sir after posting I realised that you have mentioned thank you sir..
No probs, have a safe drive !!

How much time did you take to reach Baga
Approx 14 hours. But, you can reach in 13. We took ~ 1 hour for drone shots !!
Which route should i takefor goa from NH48 or through NH66?
You have to start with NH48 and then move to NH66; taking diversion from Karad and pass through Malkapur, Anuskura ghat, Panchal and hit NH66 at Oni.
Refer location pins in description
Going tomorrow.
Should I take old or new via pune
Check Google map for current traffic conditions till Pune.
For us taking the Khopoli exit was an advantage, you can take that exit and enter back after Lonavala of expressway reflect heavy traffic.
We took a wrong diversion from the old highway and hut expressway before lonavala, so had to face this traffic!!
Thank you for your Video, can you please suggest a good route from Thane to South Goa.
Thank you in advance 😄
Thane - Expressway - Pune - kolhapur - belgaum - Anmod ghat - South Goa.
You have to face some road work across the kolhapur highway and inside bhagwan mahavir das sanctuary (after belgaum).
Note - Sanctuary part is open only from 6 am to 6 pm. So, plan accordingly
aao kabhi Solapur side.. best road for Hyderabad

2. When we shifted to go Pro, we used the basic Boya dual channel lavelier mic !!
hi pune to goa which ghat is good
Depends, where are you going in Goa.
For North Goa, follow this route and about the turns as we guided near Panchal !!
south goa@@Travidiction

Lots of Qualises / buses used to fly in this road 😊
Agree the road is challenging but at the same time beautiful!!
