Ok. Not too often do I have the patience to watch a 2:21:08 video, but there are exceptions ... This Mt Kilimanjaro climb for instance. Só amazing !!! Watched it three years ago or so, and again last night. I have UA-cam on my tv-screen nowadays, and it makes the climb even more impressive to watch. The descent in one day especially, blew my mind ... You must be the proudest Dad on the Planet. And what a Trooper she is, Indigo !! Greetz from the Netherlands! ☀☀☀
It took me four treadmill runs but I have finished this video. I appreciate the company and the views I had through your adventures. I loved Indigo’s editing and comments. Such a great example of a healthy relationship.
That is impressive persistence, Vicki. Glad we were able to shepherd you along on your treadmill adventures. And I appreciate the comments about Indigo, too. Such a great daughter.
This is the best video I've seen to help me prep for my Kili trek next year. I appreciated watching them hike, the terrain, the guides and porters.... I will be happy to take twice as long as they did.
96 hours with Indigo! Good for you both. Just goes to show the kind of Dad you are - especially given how insular children can be at times via all the tech. I am sure having a brave/charismatic/pragmatic/handsome/goofy fun dad makes it worth her time, lol. Thank you for this gem of a journey. Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas.
My philosophy is that it is important to expose kids to as MUCH as you possibly can in terms of different places and cultures. And yes, I might possibly be goofy on occasions.
I just discovered you whilst messing around in UA-cam. This is the first time I sat through a video like yours. Thank you for the video as I felt I am in the same adventure with you. It's like reading a good book where you feel you're in the book itself following the story. Thank you for giving me this feeling. ❤❤❤
Fell asleep watching You Tube and this was waiting for me when I woke up this morning. Wasn’t planning on a two hour you tube session but here I am! Great job! I appreciated the commentary. You are a natural. Also great job to Indigo for the editing! Superb father/daughter team up!
That's a really quick ascent and descent of Kilimanjaro. I did it quite a few years ago now (summitted on the dawn of my birthday!) but spent 6 days on the hill. So good to see all the scenery is almost unchanged and really brought back a bunch of memories. Great to see the mighty Kerry contrasted with the normal human Indigo - great editing!
Gary, isn't is a unique and cool experience? Glad to know that it has remained somewhat constant. Although, I do know there are parts of the year where there is no snow on top now, too.
I finally had the time to sit down and watch this, and it is really amazing. Full Tilt Ward is off and running, and the team of Kerry and Indigo works so very, very well. That Kerry is awesome is already well known, but not everyone knows--or should I say knew--just how awesome Indigo is. Just the fact that she can hang with her dad on a trip like this is cool enough, but she has a great screen presence and ready wit that puts the icing on the cake. Giant kudos to Indigo for the great job that she did in editing and producing the video. I loved her subtitles and the times when Indigo had control of the camera. Oh yes, and there were the guides! I think that Paul and Goddy are going to see an upsurge in business as they came off incredibly well here. Paul makes the trek look like a walk in the park. Well yes, it is technically a walk in the Kilimanjaro National Park, but you know what I mean!
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. You are kind to every one you meet and have a zest for life that is amazing. I tell my grandson about your videos.
Thank you Kerry and Indigo for sharing this. Kerry I love watching your video's. Not only do they inspire me to live life the way you do, I've used them as invaluable resources when it comes to reconnaissance of following your footsteps! Thank you!
Another great video. I can't believe that your daughter has turned 18. I still remember her as the little girl running in front of you in the video from The Fat Dog 120 allthough she had made her appearance in some of your videos after that. I just had to watch that video again. I can't tell how many times I have seen that video it's so inspirational. Hoping to do the Fat Dog my self one day.
I love how Indigo mocks you Kerry! My daughter, just a little older than Indigo, does the exact same thing to me. It is the sure sign of a great relationship between the two of you. Which is lovely. And it means we can expect more adventures from you two in the future. And hopefully more fabulous video production from Indigo!!!
Thanks John. We have a good time together - and humor is certainly a part of that. Indigo is actually editing together our Salkantay Trek Video from Peru last summer right now. Should see that in a week or so. Stand by.
So awesome Kerry. Your daughters attitude towards climbing that mountain is just as awesome as you having all these life expeditions. Amazing family. 🤙🏼
This is the first video I have watched of yours...I'm super impressed. I loved all the commentary and the scenic views you shared. Indigo did an amazing job editing this video and on the trip...kudos to her. Im looking forward to scrolling through your playlist and watching more. Great job to the both of you..and God bless both of you on your adventures. May he keep you both safe and healthy.
Dawn, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate your feedback. Good luck getting through the library of FullTiltWard content. I've got a lot more to edit together.
Really enjoyed it, thanks Kerry for filming such an epic journey, and excellent editing skills by Indigo. We were very touched by the scenes on the top of the mountain Curious to know if and when the clown nose and sling shot ever came in handy? Happy New Year to you and yours.
Well this was just amazing ! As usual Kerry you show us another great adventure....BUT...I have to say...the rock star of the trip was your beautiful daughter Indigo ! She is a real trooper. Having you go up that mountain was no surprise to me...but seeing your daughter hang in there and do as good as she did....A super BIG thumbs up to her. I see that Indigo has the same problem as me...cold weather equals runny nose!....I hate it. I also see that she, like me, is also a Snikerholic. ! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos in 2020 and who knows just maybe Ill meet you someday...Im at Western States each year,,,if you are ever there Ill have to look you up Take care and have a Merry Holiday Season...( PS....not sure if you have ever see Kilians video of his run up and down Kilimanjaro in one day...quite amazing...if not, do check it out)
Watching Kilian's video now, actually. Very cool to see. And yes, Indigo was amazing on the route. Lucky father. Thanks for your support, Randy. Perhaps at WS one year. I did get there for the race and paced a random runner for the last 40+ Miles.
Love all your videos and everything you do showing the beauty of this wonderful world. This was a long but very entertaining footage all the way through. Great job and thank you!!
I enjoyed Indigos edit of this film, she is a really funny woman . Congratulations to you both for this wonderful hike and thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you for the video. You are a good storyteller. I wouldn't have spent more than 2 hours watching this unless you were. as a long distance runner and a travelle/pirate/dad this made me happy and inspired.
My daughter and I climbed the Machame seven-day route with two other climbers, July 2021. It was a great experience, and it was really nice to see lots of the same places through your eyes. Thanks for the video!
Great video amigo .Good memories of Kili .I did the same route in 18/7/20013.Took us 7 hours to go to the top from the base camp and after me and the guide leader come down running. We never sign in the baranco .this is new ,I mean after I went
Hi Kerry and Indigo, I so enjoyed this video, start to finish too ! I love the interaction between you to. Indigo reminds me so much of my own daughter, strong, warm but tenacious. Her achievement was amazing. It's the end of March 2021 compiling this reply. I'm an oldtimer from Shropshire in the UK still isolating. Because of this, I've watched both your Everest base camp trip (Great also) and the Kili in one day. I'm also a keen hiker/climber too, although now 77 years old. Still packing in 3000ft of ascent each week until Covid, so your adventures have been a blessing. Regards to you both.
Best Kilimanjaro video I’ve seen to date. I am taking my 19-yo daughter this summer so it was really helpful to watch this detailed and informative parent-child trek. Your daughter is terrific! Congratulations to you both.
Amazing video Kerry. Your experience is so incredible, a video this long is neccessary to tell the story. Indigo did a wonderful job of editing, this video really shows how magical the trip was and how the experience impacted you both. Very well done, thank you.
Yes, I love having Indigo on these adventures. And she does a great job with her little cameos and balancing me out a bit. Editing it is another thing I LOVE having help with as time is tough to find to get through the list of videos to complete. I want her to do the Salkantay Trek video from Peru next so we can share that, too.
You have very motivational videos. Just what I need adventures and need to do them my self also. I run marathons but have not done any ultras which I will be doing. Thanks to you. Please keep doing what you doing!
Kimmo - sounds like you are getting into the sport for the right reasons. It is something that gives me such great motivation, too. Let me know when you've gotten your ultra done.
This popped up after watching Eva zu Beck’s K ascent. She has a very relaxed style and my first impression of Kerry was “oh oh. Here comes the Ugly American.” and “No way can I watch that toothpick in his mouth. Worse than watching someone chew gum.” And then I warmed up to him and his style. I was skeptical as he pooh-poohed the other groups and estimated hiking times BUT he proved himself. It was good to let Indigo set the pace (loved her updates) and his constant encouragement and their hiking pace were quite admirable. I don’t like tours but they are sometimes necessary for some places and activities. Their 7-person team did a great job. I will look up other Kerry videos.
@@FullTiltWard the highest I have climbed is the Swedish Mt Kebnekaise that has 2 peaks, the north peak that is 2097 meters and the south peak that is 2096.8 meters. I am from Sweden so it is easy for me to get there :) but I dream to climb the Kilimanjaro. But if you ever get the chance to visit Sweden Mt Kebnekaise is our highest mountain and it is a beutiful climb for sure.
Fantastic video! I’m headed to kili next week and this vid gave the bat overview of the hike out of everything I watched! And indigo really made this. She’s a great balance and you two play well off each other.
I think Indigo put the "sass" in sassy lol. All seriousness, you guys did an awesome job of getting to the top and down again in only 4 days. Enjoyed the entire video. It looks an amazing trek, but beyond me sadly with my health.
Daddy and daughter adventures......for the win! Nice job you two!! Great adventure and great memories. Thanks for taking us along. Edit: Quick suggestion. You might be able to get much better sound quality by using the little fuzzy wind filters that stick onto the mic port areas of your camera. You'll find reviews of them here, and they're sold at places like A ma z0n
Well done as usual Kerry. So much better when you can share the experience with your daughter. However you did forget to wear your "low range" Cat Cap ! Namaste
COOL video Love Indigo honesty.. funny couple a demanding super focused energetic dad with a teenage daughter that would love to lay by the pool having massage and txt friends.. instead stuck at high altitude with bloked nose an allergies... lol Indigo will appriciate later as she grows older the lesson from the climeing adventure brought up by the competitive dad I have really enjoyed watching this I might get to Tanzania too.... Thanks for sharing guys.. GREETING from Sicily
Indigo is a great kid. Lucky to have her as a daughter. I hope she does come to appreciate the experience more as she gets older. Do update this if you end up getting to Tanzania - it is a great place to visit.
This is the first video of yours I just saw as I'm planning a trip to Kilimanjaro. Since you asked for recommendations, I highly recommend the Chadar Trek in northern India. I did it in 2014. It's a 6-8 day trek on a frozen river that forms a blanket of ice (Chadar means blanket of ice). The trek itself is relatively easy but it's the conditions that are difficult (camping at -30°C, temperatures never going above -10).
Wow, both of you were strong and fast hikers/climbers completing the climb and descent in a short time and overtaking other groups along the way. I saw other videos where the tour did the "Death March" hahahaha.
This video was awesome, Kerry! Loved your reaction when you found you couldn't go further that first day...lol. Your daughter was a trooper! I bet Paul could be a pretty good ultrarunner!
Wow cool! I'm in Skagit Valley, Washington state, so near Seattle and Vancouver. Happy to watch you here, I think the Pacific Northwest loves Africa! Thanks for the great video!
WoW! Just watched this whole adventure. You made it look so easy guys! Thank you for sharing this epic father-daughter Superteam escapade! Gave me great perspective on what lies ahead if i decide to go!
Love your videos. This one got me through 3 treadmill runs as we are on lockdown here in England and I’m using my 1 form of outside exercise to walk with my daughter every afternoon 💕
Great videos. I live in Perth Western Australia so watched your 200+ miles run down south, getting lost right at the start would be hard to live down lol. Watched your Mt Kilamajero climb, we did the same route a few years ago and did not see a bit of snow, it was all about the dust lol.
@@FullTiltWard one more thing kerry my name is kyle and i have only live in chilliwack BC for 7 months, love it originally from prince George i love all your content also did the grouse grind this summer, and just did elk mountian today and the abby grind this morning
Thanks for a really good video. Doubly fun watching a guy go with his daughter, I take mine to all sort of trips, too. It got me through a long treadmill run :) Humbly, with no malice just one correction. Barafu camp is not base camp, but high camp.
Awesome video both! Bet the short days moving at the start were a challenge to begin with having watched all of your other adventures! Fantastic achievement. Good to see the amazing wizardry of a tissue paper nose bullring transcends continents too! 😂
Thanks Paul. Yes, it was not easy doing the short days. Impatience reared its head for sure. And yes, Indigo kept the toilet paper manufacturers in business on this trip.
Kerry is making my bucketlist longer and longer! First run an Ultra, then Everest base camp, now Kilimanjaro!
Gotta start cracking them off the list, Cheech!
Ok.

Namaste
True!
COOL video
Love Indigo honesty.. funny couple a demanding super focused energetic dad with a teenage daughter that would love to lay by the pool having massage and txt friends.. instead stuck at high altitude with bloked nose an allergies... lol
Indigo will appriciate later as she grows older the lesson from the climeing adventure brought up by the competitive dad
I have really enjoyed watching this I might get to Tanzania too....
Thanks, friend. It was a blessing to be able to go at our own pace for sure.
How did you pull this off ? I was told you had to have a guide no one can just climb without supervision
This video was awesome, Kerry! Loved your reaction when you found you couldn't go further that first day...lol. Your daughter was a trooper! I bet Paul could be a pretty good ultrarunner!
You Sir are inspiring and a wonderful father. What an amazing journey.
Wow, thank you
Wow cool! I'm in Skagit Valley, Washington state, so near Seattle and Vancouver. Happy to watch you here, I think the Pacific Northwest loves Africa! Thanks for the great video!
Yes, you are quite close. Africa is an amazing continent.
WoW! Just watched this whole adventure. You made it look so easy guys! Thank you for sharing this epic father-daughter Superteam escapade! Gave me great perspective on what lies ahead if i decide to go!
Thanks for watching! Hopefully you get to go experience it for yourself in the future.
Watched your Mt Kilamajero climb, we did the same route a few years ago and did not see a bit of snow, it was all about the dust lol.
wow thanks for the long video i am defiently watching it all!!
I appreciate people who like the long form stuff, for sure.
@@FullTiltWard one more thing kerry my name is kyle and i have only live in chilliwack BC for 7 months, love it originally from prince George i love all your content also did the grouse grind this summer, and just did elk mountian today and the abby grind this morning
That was a great video. Incredible terrain and views.
this was very cool, also watched the other day the trek up to the top of Angel Falls....that was incredible and recommend you watch that as well.
Thanks for sharing.Amazing experience.Happy New Year!
Great job my wife and I are going Jan 2024. We're from Louisiana so the altitude should be interesting!
Thanks for a really good video. Doubly fun watching a guy go with his daughter, I take mine to all sort of trips, too. It got me through a long treadmill run :) Humbly, with no malice just one correction. Barafu camp is not base camp, but high camp.
Great job. Love your videos. Kilimanjaro has been on my list for a while. Good to see what im be getting into.
That was the idea. Should show people what to expect if they are thinking to get this trip done.
Amazing video, thanks for a great 2hr 15m adventure, loved it.
thank you for this video I am on my way tomorrow to Kilimanjaros. I hope I can make it to the summit
Another excellent video, thanks for putting it together and sharing it.
Loved this (and your Everest vid), stuck in self isolation and this has been exactly what I needed!
So very cool! Thanks for sharing!
thanks for sharing! really cool to see your firsthand vlogs!
