- A group of 100 filmmaking students & aspiring actors were invited as a part of Film Companion's Unfiltered session to watch Anupama Chopra in conversation with Anushka Sharma & Suraj Sharma ahead of the release of Phillauri. The actors spoke at length about their process and love for the craft.

anushka sharma is the most honest person in entire bollywood. may be other actress is more beautiful then her but as an actor and producer she is ahed of every one. this my view point. In every interview she is damn honest. thanks anupama chopra for this interview 🙏🙏

Anushka is my favourite actress, she's so honest and real, probably one of my favourite interviews of hers and I'll say this over and over again Bombay Velvet was a masterpiece in my opinion and it will be remembered, Ranbir and Anushka's chemistry out of the world! Also loved all the tips Anushka gave on auditions and her journey for Rab Ne, love her for telling the truth.
one of the best interviews of Anushka Sharma... She probably gets nervous around her competitiors, but here, I could understand every work of hers and she made total sense in everything she said.. Credit to Anupama for asking logical sensible questions !

Look Anushka and Kangana have same things to say and have almost same viewpoints about the industry
But Anushka instead of complaining,bitching and arguing,..she is working towards the betterment of cinema and backing talents
She knows all abt the discrimination in the industry but She doesn't seems to have any grudge with Karan, nepo kids coz she minds her own business,keep working hard, follows her path....
She is favourites of her co actors, directors but she knows that these friendship ain't real...but she deals with all this in a much better way than Kangana does...
She is more focused on what she does rather than what other r doing
this was one of the most honest and unfiltered interview in bollywood i have seen in a while after ranbir's interview with rajeev masand.

I just watched this movie. I am in love with it. Everybody did an amazing job. Not to forget, the man who plays Anushka's brother is incredible!

Orgasmic Conversation. It was refreshing to see Anushka making sense, despite her anxiety levels. Suraj Sharma is like a teddy bear. Thanks Anupama Mam. This was just beautiiful. Can watch this video many times. What a wonderful way of deconstructing the actors.
Anushka's comments especially those about the disparity between audiences, privilege, and why certain films work with different groups was very insightful and shows her sound understanding of all aspects of Hindi cinema. I hope to see more films produced by her.

So much talk about Kangana's honesty and her sensible answers. She even said she would not work with the Khans cause whatever and here we see Anushka making so much sense, doing better for herself without talking all that egoistic non-sense. This was a great interview. Thanks Anupama :)

Stuti Vora I agree with u I don't understand when people praise kangana for her pride...khans have been in the business since 25years and she demands equal importance to be given to her which I feel is very rude
Kanagana didn't speak about getting the same "importance". She mentioned that she is at a stage of her career where she can't afford to play a second fiddle with Khans...as actresses don't get meaty roles. You know it very well that you hardly get any role if you are cast against the Khans. Don't you think Kangana would be taking a step back in terms of her growth after doing phenomenal movies like Queen and Tanu Weds Manu?
Stuti Vora : both Kangana n Anuhka r fabulous successful actresses. having different pesonna..so that is not at all d case abot "khans" ,bk Anushka had entry film wid Shahrukh khan...so she can talk abt khans n her experinces n can consider them for hving them in her films ,,,other way, kangana cant as she didn't act wid 3 khans n she admitted she cant afford to b at back step by doing film wid khns..... so cool , tht was clever idea or thinkin of kangana...so take it easy
in pk anushka had an important role and since it was a bwood movie all importance went to aamir. she had an individual story in the movie..
in dangal both the girls had equally important role as aamir's..
in chennai express deepika had an equally important role as srk and she was given equal credit as well..
even in rab ne banadi jodi anushka's character was not a flower pot..
ddlj, mnik and kkhh had srk and kajol playing equally important roles..
anushka had a fairy decent job in sultan if we compare the kind of roles other actresses get in a salman khan movie
not all movies of the khan's have actresses as a flower pot..
srk and aamir does only 1 or 2 movies in 2-3 years and its not necessary that all this movie should be a love story or should have an important female character..
if the story requires a strong female lead and the khans purposefully tried to decrease the FL's screen space then we can point a finger at them..
its not their fault if the writers didnt write a strong female character in the movie they are offered.
movies like fan or raees dont requie a female character so both the movies didnt had any...
kangana had openly said in an iv that she would love to work with srk when anand l rai was looking for a FL opposite srk.. but since she didnt get the movie she is saying she is not interested in doing movies with the khans.
Such an amazing interview of two really good actors! Phillauri looks amazing, can't wait to watch it.

I loved Saraj Sharma's response when he was asked what he thought the difference was btwn Western films and Indian films as far as storytelling. He answered that in India the wide audience has a lot of strife in life, and there is a need to escape that in films (Bollywood films) whereas in the West, instead of a strife in life, it is more of a preoccupation with strife, and there is this desire to delve deep into that and find all this darkness…
