Speaking or Criticising on / against Salman Khan in Bollywood is no lesser than doing something against a Mad King. She has guts to tell the truth. Kudos for that Anushka.
i didnt really knew that anushka has so much wisdom into her , she has really grown both as an actor and as a lovely energetic person, from now onwards i would really be looking up for her interviews like this ,this is how a modern young contemporary indian women must represents herself to live life on her own terms ,we are really proud of u anushka thk u for a lovely straightforward interview.
+SR Bee she can't risk a failure. the producers the directors all worked hard on the movie. Anushka worked hard. she deserves that success. this is not just Salmans movie
I seriously always love and look forward to your interviews with Anushka, they seem so genuine. It's like you're two friends actually sitting down to share your ideas. Plus I love how real Anushka is, we've needed someone like her in the industry for a long time.
Always love your interviews with Anushka Sharma. You ask the right questions, and she is honest enough to give you an answer. Otherwise it's so predictable and boring with questions like "how was it shooting," and "did you do pranks on set, ...".
I so much agree with you. She has asked Anushka such comfortably questions which are absolutely decent and fun at the same time .loved watching the interview . I love Anushka Sharma so much..
I agree with Anushka. People are reading too much into something that most of us would do especially if it's a priority. Arfa's decision was related to her priorities in life rather than gender equality. People do a whole lot of things for the people they are in love with.
I absolutely loved SULTAN & I absolutely loved her character in the film. WHOEVER THINKS AARFA WAS REGRESSIVE & BACKWARD MINDED CAN TAKE A SEAT, IN FACT, YOU ALL SHOULD TAKE SEVERAL SEATS... Aarfa was a strong independent woman who very well knew what she wanted with her life. She optimized her priorities with the requirement of the situation. To carry a child in her womb is a great feeling for most of the women in the world. That motherly feeling can not be described in words. It's so precious. She was back at her work few years after. She was back at what she was doing but at that time she chose to bring in a new life to this world & it was her free choice. She gave her child the priority. She made that decision freely. Feminism is not about male bashing & just about having a career outside. If we can respect the right of a woman to have a career then shouldn't we also respect the right of a woman to choose her family over a career? It doesn't make her any lesser than a career woman. Bringing up children & making a home is equally a very tough job. Feminism is about making free choices without anybody's pressure & do what your mind & heart says. Such idiotic writers in firstpost or some other website are doing no good for women. What Aarfa did for women these pseudo self proclaimed feminist writers can never do. That's why I suggest take a back seat & stop writing. Anushka as Aarfa shines & how!!! More power to her for doing this role & nailing it! She is undoubtedly one of the most effortless performers of our time!
Thank you!!! finally someone who knows what feminism is about👏 Actually it's the first time that the heroine of a salman movie has such a strong role and she did an amazing job!
You don't seem to get the point. Writers are questioning what motivates her towards taking that decision. There is still the societal influence behind most of her flawed decisions in the movie. Just because it is a comfortable choice for men and pleases men, it doesn't have to be rooted for.

***** The worst thing is she has come across as a pseudo-feminist and tries to vehemently defend her bosses, by even sarcastically taking a dig at those who criticized her role. That's pure vehemence. Yes, the family rhetoric is an eyewash, a brainwash, just because men are comfortable with control. They don't see anything wrong in it either because they are too blinded to do so. Women suffer even if she has a great family because her needs or emotions will not be met in the grand family set up. Ayurveda says women suffer arthritis and cancer because they sacrifice their lives living for others, while their cells protest against the choices she makes, because the cells have to be fed upon. We leave women in internal conflicts with the need to nurture a family, give birth to a child and "Oh come on, it's a child yaar," like Anushka would pretend to have us believe. A baby is purely a woman's choice, which doesn't happen that way in Sultan. She wants to please him and so she bears the child and the character is also designed as such to please the audiences for a blockbuster. Yes, men don't need to tell women about how family is so important. And even spiritually, family is a selfish unit, which is not the be-all and end-all of life. It's not the ultimate goal of one's life or the holy grail. Even men get heart attacks because they are in pursuit of control over everyone and everything like at least a family. When they know they must not influence or control anyone, especially a woman, that's when they can least understand feminism.
This was amazing ❤️ i fall in love with her and respect her each time i hear her speak. Anupama is just a wonderful wonderful interviewer. Anushka ‘s honesty is priceless
I love her so much. I love that you do these interviews with her, Anupama, because it's your interviews with Anushka that have brought out her truly remarkable character. Her honest opinions on hot topics, her feelings about the way the industry works, her inside scoops regarding her equations with superstars on sets. You bring this intriguing information so naturally out of her that it doesn't even seem like it was a plot point in your head. This is the mark of a stupendous interviewer Kudos to you. I love anushkas brutal honesty and the way she speaks her mind so eloquently. Unlike so many high-profile actors you interview, I know anushka brings out utmost enjoyment and excitement from you when you interview her because she's someone who isnt guarded or reserved. she doesnt avoid a question or downplay the wrongdoings of industry members or colleagues out of fear for losing her positon. That is why I respect her dearly. I don't understand the dislikes on this video. I guess society has an issue with strong and fully capable woman. Well I don't. I love them, and I'm a guy. She really is an amazing role model; not only for women, but men as well. I look forward to your future interviews with her Anupama :)
I agree. God only knows. The dislikes are those small societal misunderstandings of how strong women should speak, think and act. What is okay for them and what crosses the line which never enters the conversation when a bro is talking. If its equality we want than torah chese hai stupid quibbles about gender based good behavior get more in the way than are at all helpful. To think how much your approval gets robbed from an actor just because you might choose to misunderstanding how they act, why they act that way or why you can't find anything good about it for no reason. Yes. All those dislikes? Maybe the dislikes need to grow up when their brain starts shrinking.
Another great interview by Anupam with Anushka. I think it is great that Anushka takes on the thinking of who she portrays and respects that person's thoughts and decisions. She also shows great courage and it was great to refer back to the older interview which was outstanding and the pouring in of support for Anushka was great to see. And I thought she was respectful of Salman Khan. I think he would be a difficult interview maybe not. Anupam rarely mentions him and he seems an interior extrovert whereas Anushka seems an extroverted introvert. This is a great interview.
It is always such a pleasure to watch her interviews. She is so candid and articulate. And such a bad ass!!! Love that you can watch her on and off screen and she is lovely unlike some people whose interviews are a snooze fest. much love to you my dear!
i loved this one as well , sometimes i wonder that it is your genius as a journalist or you just get lucky with outspoken guests on your show , such is the level of comfort and ease i feel when i watch your interviews . Anushka kudos to her , she not only managed to answer back but also maintain that decorum of not loosing her rationality. once again thank you so much for being you Anu , lots of love .
Yes,she is absolutely right! I have given up my study n career for my child as I was pregnant...being selfish is not better option then to choose being a mother! Love you Anuska!
Awesome interviewAnupama u have a way to frame questions which never crosses the bar nd hits the right point...anushka luv u...be like this..straightforward..always
Movie was fine and entertaining but the approach towards her character was same old and a bit regressive.. ambitious women who gives up her dream after marriage/motherhood and that was sad. Mary Kom nd her story is encouraging and empowering.. But Anushka was amazing as Arfa and I luv her :)
Saurav Malla I have seen the movie so keep your info to yourself. you didn't find it regressive that's your opinion. Why you want every one to agree with you !!
same old and regressive? have you ever seen another female wrestler role in bollywood (apart from mary kom)? and it's not regressive in my opinion she had a choice and she wanted to be a mother...btw she continued w wrestling afterwards
Caan Byc that dialogue was way too regressive for me "mujhe mera gold mil gaya" and relax ..I never said movie was bad... bt plz that attitude was not good. And it is my opinion, you be happy with yours
+Megha Lall wow you've got one hell of an attitude women. If you want to keep your opinion to yourself then why don't you just shut up instead of posting comments. If you post then u should be aware of criticism.
honestly, i'm impressed. she seems like an honest and thinking individual. she thought about the moves she made with her career and the roles she took, so now she doesn't need to rely on untruths and overly zealous PR spin room crap to defend herself. I hope she keeps up the quality control.
Both Aamir and Anuskha ignored the fact that Salman retracted his statement within the same breathe of saying it. Anuskhas bf Virat is abusive/insensitive on the field.
I was feeling incomplete after ur interview with Ali ,bcoz I was waiting to hear from Anushka..and yepee u just did it! Thanks Anupama.. And yes I was scared that Anushka has changed after Sultan but thanks to god she has come out excatly I was imagining of her! She came out real one , as usual herself ! And showed she backs herself .. :) :) Thanks for doing it :)
Anushka saying this insensitive would have made more sense if she hasn't asked him " feel like what?" and laughed at it at kapil sharma's show!!! Also she is saying all this after the film has been released and all when she's not obliged to have a good relation with salman
And yet any Bollywood actress would'n portray a character that aborts a child to pursue her sports dream. And there lies the difference. Forget about regressive portrayal of women in Salman Khan movies which is a norm, even when actresses talk about becoming single mothers through adoption or other ways which Priyanka Chopra did a few months back, they face extreme violent reactions. This is the difference in Indian society which has taken away the rights of its women to have a control over their bodies through a sixteenth century mentality that puts the onus entirely on women and none on the men . India is an overpopulated country and by the looks of its movies its not going to handle the situation by giving more independence to its women until the country starts imploding due to excess population.
What a wonderful channel. The previous Anushka interview was really good too. As the previous episode ended though, I asked myself _Why is this just 18 minutes?_ I thought the same for this one cause it was such a great conversation. Why not an hour or two if it's possible? I That'd be really cool! It's on UA-cam anyways - and this is the best way to be real, away from the fast paced bullshit momentum of news. bringing real conversations to life on camera is so much more satisfying (as was in this and the Anushka interview) instead of the pre-internet era model of interviews. There's just so much potential for this to become a great podcast (similar to the JRE podcast - ex ua-cam.com/video/kbcfkYJ-zvM/v-deo.html) . This is real and taps into actual conversations (equality, etc), not just vacuous promotions. Keep up the good work guys!
Have been watching the interviews on this channel for some time now, the best part is more focus on real things, related to craft and not really looking for sensational bytes. Also the interview setting/place are very refreshing, respite from the fixed setup or one with show name screen behind. Good job.
I find anushka very sensible and honest. She has taken stand and making very plausible arguments and not fake good for the sake of it like many other actress.
Anushka has always been a cool customer but this clearly shows she is rattled. Few points to observe:- 1. Aarfa does go back to wrestle but we have to keep in account the time lapse. 10 years had passed, so does Aarfa's body have the stamina to continue wrestling at such a level. Given most Olympians have a time span of not more than 2 or 3 olympics. We have to assume her medal winning chances are at higher odds. 2. The weird part is when both of them are qualifying through several rounds of qualification and then comes the pregnancy. Sex is energy consuming and the athletes are advised against it before major events. In the end Anushka makes a valid point about not doing a movie if she was pregnant but my question is would she make the same argument if she had been asked to do the same before Rab ne bana di jodi! Food for thought. Cheers
this movie will be forgotten in 3"months, regressive and progressive in a bloody movie? its entertainment , fiction, not a life angel for heavens sake, why scrutinize every scene? Indians are getting more obsessed by the minute! chill
Once she said she has anxiety ..ppl who are high energetic high achievers cn hv high functioning anxiety, probably high energy means fast talking too..
this interview of Anushka has more dislikes, then her 1 year's old interview with Anupama..probably bcz of her sayings ...on Salman Khan. what the hack.😏😏
she is one inspiring lady.. she has all the guts to stand up what she truly believes in without sucking up to anyone..!
Speaking or Criticising on / against Salman Khan in Bollywood is no lesser than doing something against a Mad King. She has guts to tell the truth. Kudos for that Anushka.

Actors, directors, creative people all are philosophers. They see world differently..they are more of a right side brain people than left side.
What a refreshing interview! I need more of Kangna and Anoushka on Film Companion!! I'm sure a lot of people out there what agree.
she has guts!
respect
if she had guts then she should have spoken about it earlier..in the promotions. why didn't Se do that ??
+SR Bee she can't risk a failure. the producers the directors all worked hard on the movie. Anushka worked hard. she deserves that success. this is not just Salmans movie
The fact that in a Salman movie, the heroine has a proper characterization itself is great achievement. Let's be happy about it...
hahahaha yeah
Yesssssssss
Except for movies like wanted, Tubelight or few more, all salman movies has strong female characters.
His character is driven by women in his life.
she is an intelligent and honest woman

Love this girl ! So bright and beautiful ...
She is so damn honest...being a celebrity she has dat innocent motive of carrying water from sultan set to her own production.
she's honest, sassy at times, confident and genuine.Amazing IV. Also anupama is really pretty.
Well spoken Anushka. BTW, you look gorgeous.

The dhaaga shows how simple she is and the humbleness . Success and money haven’t changed who she is.

Why are we looking for gender equality between movie characters and that too in a Salman movie. That's an oxymoron in itself.
Well, this sounds like sarcasm to me :)
Dinesh Babu There is no sarcasm there. I am being as direct as possible
True that!
💯
anushka looks gorgeous
she sounds like a passionate actress
Well said anushka..!!
Thanks god ! Anupama ji that you didn't say sultan is Cartoon Network cause for you every Bollywood movie is like Cartoon. Love Sultan !!!

For your kind info, she does go back to wrestling
Saurav Malla I have seen the movie so keep your info to yourself. you didn't find it regressive that's your opinion.

honestly, i'm impressed. she seems like an honest and thinking individual. she thought about the moves she made with her career and the roles she took, so now she doesn't need to rely on untruths and overly zealous PR spin room crap to defend herself. I hope she keeps up the quality control.
One of the best interviews on FC! Great people :)
Both Aamir and Anuskha ignored the fact that Salman retracted his statement within the same breathe of saying it. Anuskhas bf Virat is abusive/insensitive on the field.

Her character was bold and strong. Beautiful young with new idea

Have been watching the interviews on this channel for some time now, the best part is more focus on real things, related to craft and not really looking for sensational bytes. I love this interview!
I find anushka very sensible and honest. She has taken stand and making very plausible arguments and not fake good for the sake of it like many other actress.

Once she said she has anxiety ..ppl who are high energetic high achievers cn hv high functioning anxiety, probably high energy means fast talking too..
She is intelligent as well❤
Thanks for 60 fps :-)
Best confidence ❤️ strong lady
super u r.so honest .😚😍
No accessories and only KALAWA in her right hand... Took my ❤
