To put into perspective how good Bird was remember this = as a rookie Bird went to a 29 win team and with 1 change to the roster in ML Carr and a new coach, Bird was the main reason Boston won 61 games = a 32 game turnaround. Bird as a rookie was 4th in MVP and won ROY by a large margin over Magic. For the next 8 seasons in the MVP Bird was 2,2,2,1,1,1,3 and 2nd again. Bird created the 50-40-90 shooting club and did this 2 seasons back to back ( 87 and 88) AND Bird was so close in 85 and 86 that if you total his stats for the 4 seasons = Bird actually averaged 50-40-90 shooting over 4 consecutive seasons. Bird led the league in defensive win shares 4 times and was 7 times in the top 5 in DWS. Bird in 1983 finished tied for 3rd place for the DPOY award. Bird loved to hit the game winner and demanded the ball at the end of games. Bird could rebound like a power forward and had the court vision of a point guard. I think he is the best all around player I have ever seen. Thank you!

All the Making the Case videos deserve a watch. That's especially true if you aren't familiar with the careers of Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell.

Hey man, appreciate that good reaction video. While I appreciate how people review and rate Larry against his peers, the haters are the ones that irk me because even at 66 years old he could probably house all the nay-sayers on the court today. I've seen the interviews with people that played for him and how he'd come out at 60 years old and start jacking 3's without missing while wearing a suit, he just has the gift and the touch, even at his age. He loved the trash talk, loved the competition and he wanted to be guarded by the best so he could make sure he was beating the best. For him, you could either play or you couldn't, there was no other measuring stick for Larry.

As much of a killer Larry Legend is on the court, he is also one of the most humble all-time great off of it. He is one of the very few HOFamers who continue to vocally state that today’s game is in a much better place and he would rather watch today’s games as he enjoys it a lot. Class and character.

I have Bird at #3 all time. I had season tickets to Knicks games in the mid '80's. I saw all the greats of that era come to the Garden. Larry Bird was straight up ridiculous bro. I never heard so many ooooh's and ahhhh's from the crowd when he played. He was on a different level. Great vid and reaction bro.

Bird was very competitive! He was all about the win but never tried to be the only star on the team! Even if he could take the shot...he often passed it to his teammates. Larry never gave less than his all ....in every game he ever played and that says it all to me! Winning & having the respect from his peers meant everything to him. His IQ on the court .. Imo...has never been or will ever be matched!

I watched the NBA through almost five decades. I learned some things, one of which is I dont believe you can compare players from different eras. i have my favorite players from each era. Bird and Magiic are my favorites from the 80s.

Bro, your video is great, you show to everyone the greatness of Larry Legend in such a wonderful way, I saw videos putting Larry not even top 10, and I don’t get why they do that , but you show all otherwise, and again Larry and Magic linked forever, thank you for your videos, have blessed one

Appreciate your video dude. I have Bird as number#1. Because, unlike any other player i can think of, he didn’t have to just score. 😅With or without the ball, in the game he could influence a win.

Now try Pete Maravich. The father of showtime basketball. Larry and Magic Johnson watched Pete as kids.
Bobby Jones “The Secretary Of Defense”. The greatest sixth man of all time and the original “who is that guy”?
Tom Chambers the 22nd player to score 20000 points and I think the greatest dunk of all time. Also the Isiah look back on Tom.
Connie Hawkins the guy who brought the dunk to The NBA.
    Spencer Heywood.

I’ve never seen a shoe collection like yours, I never knew they made that many, impressive. I’d take Bird, someone would take MJ, then I get Magic. It would be great fun to be able to do that over history of basketball legends and play each other.
