What was the large blue/purple stone with the white lines on the surface you found at the 2nd site at 13:48? Don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it before. Not that THAT means much of anything. 😊
What kind of porphry are flower stones? And to your question I would guess they're giant porphry crystals. 😊 Porphry can form in either granite (feldspar crystals) or limestone (quartz crystals).
@RickSmith-kp3sy I thought they were basalt with feldspar crystals? But I'm still learning! I was wondering if the giant ones I found were also flower stones, thank you!
Emma , those large stones you passed over would be ideal to cut I to smaller pieces for jewelry If you have more then you know what to do with, I'd be interested in buying some from you
@DavidCurtis-ec9do Unfortunately I only have a small trim saw and no way of cutting bigger rocks, so I left the big ones there 😢 If we go back and get more I'll keep you in mind!
What a beautiful place. Indeed, the patterns of the rocks are like flowers. It's beautiful.❤
The river and salmon are breathtaking! oh, yes the rocks too!
I was always told flower rocks were found by the ocean, this is a game changer for flower stone hunting
@mundaremom You can find them by the ocean too!
Beautiful and very peaceful place for rockhounding so many beautiful flower stones 😊
Ohhhh I love when the salmon returns.
@@ClearMoonDesigns Me too!
I loooove the flower stones. Wish they were in WA state where I live. Nice Video.
They do come across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the beaches near Port Angeles. The hard part is finding public access.
Those jumping fish are so cool trying to get up the falls! I would love to see that.
@Flintytube I thought so too!
Love the orange rock

Beautiful dalacite
They're beautiful. Have you ever cut a Large one to see what they look like inside?
@DavidCurtis-ec9do No I haven't! I should do that, good idea!
This might be a silly question but would you name the river?

I definitely would appreciate that. If it would help, I have a 10 inch saw and would cut some for you.
@@DavidCurtis-ec9do That would be awesome, thank you!
Is Vancouver island Washington or Canada?

Ты в камнях или в красоте что нибудь понимаешь???
